You can't bully Australians because there's no limit to the level of abuse which is acceptable to level upon them.
 
There's a very good reason mercenaries fell out of fashion around the time that the ability to mobilize large amounts of people became possible for nation-states. Mercenaries are expensive, can be bought by foreign powers, have a disincentive to actually fight other mercenaries (It's kind of hilarious to look up the antics of Italian mercenaries in the early modern era) and have a rather disturbing tendency to commit atrocities and war crimes.

This is absolutely retarded on exponential levels.

War has changed. It's no longer about nations, ideologies or ethnicity. It's an endless series of proxy battles, fought by mercenaries and machines. War, and its consumption of life, has become a well-oiled machine.
