Just seems like a sad state of affairs to have the Elections for your own country be a circus; I know they have been for a while, but was anyone ever this transparent about using it as a vehicle for their own publicity?

This used to be what I thought Mr. Hairpiece was doing. Now I just think he's running because: a) he can, and b) he's an asshole with a god complex and an impenetrable ego.

I'd take Sanders over Trump any day. Sanders is far from perfect, but
at least he articulates his points and the USA's problems in clear-cut language without shamelessly insulting people (like Trump).

Even if you despise what Sanders stands for I don't think even his biggest critics would deny that he's running because he thinks his ideas will improve things. (And just to show that I'm unbiased, you could say the same thing about, oh I dunno, Ted Cruz). You can't say the same for Trump.

I realise that having opinions about the way things should be and running for office to change them should be a baseline unworthy of praise, but that's where we are at this point in American political history.

I am so gonna vote in this election (I have US Citizenship, since I was born in the country). Possibly even in the primaries.
 
I can't think of any President we've had in our nation's history I'd rather not see in the Oval Office above Trump.

Clinton, Hoover, Harding, Buchanan, Nixon, Carter; go ahead, name one way any of them could be worse.

This is classic argument contra extremism - "Well, he's not gonna exterminate Latinos, so what's the problem?" There's plenty of ways a President Trump could make things worse for Chicanos short of state-directed genocide.

Hitler had thousands of years of fanatical antisemitism from the Romans and the Christians and even the Muslims aligning with him in Yugoslavia on his side, and came along right at the height of anti-leftist paranoia and eugenics enthusiasm. He also lived in a country with a long history of authoritarianism and incredibly weak ties to democracy, and his supporters, and even his opponents, were all willing to use and regularly practicing acts of lethal force.

2015 America doesn't have anything comparable to that. Trump would still be an atrocious President, but those retards on Tumblr are just making those of us who oppose Trump for non-retarded reasons look bad.
