Don't even care if this has been posted before, it deserves another spot in this thread.

Wait - the God Emperor of Mankind was born in what is today central Turkey.

If Trump is the God Emperor...then legally he can't be president.:o

I say go ahead and make him president. It'll drive the birthers nuts.

Looking at the newest polls as led me to one conclusion.

Viva Mexico.

Trump wouldn't be THAT BAD as President. He won't be any good, but I am challenged to understand how he would be as bad as people say in this thread. Bush was a wrong time, wrong place, wrong person situation that I don't think we could see again in our lifetimes. A dunderhead taking marching orders from a Veep on the payroll of a defense corporation at the time of a terrorist attack the size of 9/11. We couldn't see that happen again. That was dumb luck.

Trump, what would he REALLY do? Maybe commission the building of a wall. Congress may support paying for it. No way in Hell the 14th Amendment is going to be messed with. No way. He will likely pussyfoot around in Middle East relations. He's a huge corporatist and sees the value of a globalized economy for the investor class. I don't think he's huge on commodities like the Bush-Cheney regime was, so running up oil likely leaves him flaccid. He would likely push for stronger corporate and capital gains tax cuts, messing with SS/MEDI (the dirty little secret people don't like to talk about is that if you mess with the SS/MEDI tax and privatize the accounts, is that the contribution of employers won't be automatically rolled into the pay of workers, hence savings for investment and medical insurance in old age will be essentially be cut in half for W-2 earners (most of us) and there will be a 7.65% savings on labor costs) and possibly a national sales tax. At the end of the day, only corporate and capital gains tax cuts would likely be accomplished.

So we will spend more on tax cuts and take in less revenue, while not changing SS/MEDI inflows or outflows. Tax inflows won't change much, expenditures won't change much. Might build a wall, won't change the law. If Trump gets in, your life won't be much better, it won't be much worse and the future will still be unfunded.

No, I agree with him. NO matter who gets elected there is lot of counter-powers, at the minimum.

So a lame duck president from day one? That's not really an option, is it?

I fought for your right to speak free and make an absolute ass of yourself.

Let's not forget the comedy gold factor. Not only domestically.
President Trump would be skewered by the political comedians up here. Great will be the laughter.
Not to your face, mind you. We're too polite and passive aggressive for that, and you have the most powerful military force in the history of ever. ;-)

Seriously, though, at this point, the U.S. political machine is barely functioning as it is. It doesn't matter who the President is when Congress is a dysfunctional mess.

To me that's the problem, Trump has a definite 100% chance of accomplishing fuck-all except maybe gracing us with what the media will no doubt start calling "Trumpisms". Other candidates while likely to do fuck-all, at least have something resembling a chance of doing something good or bad.

Also I just don't want Donald fucking Trump to be the face of America. Bush was bad enough but at least he was just blissfully ignorant as opposed to being an actively aggressive asshole. Seriously could you imagine him talking to like Iran or something holy shitballs that would terrible, but also hilarious so at least hes got the going for 'em.

Oh well, not like he's gonna win since this kinda shit literally always happens around this time in the primaries of an election.

I know that most Trump supporters are barking out the talking point of "It's refreshing that Trump will have a backbone and not cowtow to nations who hate us!" But, from a realistic point of view, Trump is more likely to cause countries like Russia, Iran, China, North Korea, etc to want to go to war with us even more, rather then back down.

He's a lot different then Regan. Trump is just a smug hothead who will fly off the handle in order to "Help the U.S get it's backbone back"

Regan had that calm poise and seriousness that let people know he wasn't fucking around.
