I'm still looking forward to the MPM Sideswipe. Other than that, nothing new draws my interests anymore. I hope the MPM line keeps on trucking into DoTM designs.
Neat! How easy are things to navigate as (I assume) a tourist, or do you know some Japanese?

Got the stuff from the last TFCon. It was a lot harder to get now than last year. Not looking forward to Chicago's. New Seeker from MakeToys cannot hold it's arms up and needs a flight stand to hold it's knees up. Only a matter of time boys and the mold disintegrates at slightest touch!
It's packed and don't expect to get exclusives unless you know people. There's the typical mark up in price at the venders due to it being a convention but you also have to realize you save on shipping and know exactly what you're getting instead of relying on photos. Some venders are happy to haggle the price down a bit. I don't bother with the cosplayers cause why the fuck are you cosplaying as a Transformer? Get a job, buy a car! The con doesn't feel as packed at an anime convention, though I haven't been to one since 2010 when I went with an ex. Nor does it feel as packed as FanExpo.
Unless you're Starscream from the Cybertron trilogy or Arcee from Prime. They seem too friendly towards children
One reason for me to go and visit Japan, other than see family and try new foods. I also want to take photos of the architecture there. If I get any free time in May during my business trip I'm hoping to do the same thing in that country. Maybe see if they're just as good as Japan when it comes to gaming and toy stores.

I'm seeing more and more of those people pop up in the TTRPG hobby as well. Like this one guy who tried his hand at D&D lore but knew fuck all about anything beyond 4th Edition. He liked talking about how much he shit's himself on Tumblr and Instagram. We should have been smart and gatekeeped all hobbies.

The company that's been making chibi combiners is making a chibi Waspinator and has teased a chibi Tigerhawk.
Some other company is making an MP scale Waspinater that actually has a fun looking transformation.

Takara is going to be releasing a G2 Menasor boxset.

Probably one of the weirdest things for them to release given that G2 failed and didn't even last 2 years in Japan itself. The G2 marvel comic was great, but that didn't recieve a japanese release and the stunticons didn't appear there. Depending on the final result, i might buy this, the headsculpt looks great and i like the G2 colors
Edit: I was wrong. The Stunticons did appear in G2 but were pretty much background characters

The G1 Stunticons were in Headmasters. The G2 Stunticons were never released as toys and I'm not aware of them appearing in anything.

i fucked up, i found the world dragus(or something) from wild king in japan, but was worried i could not take it from osaka to tokyo.
now that i see i have space, i can't find one for shit.
i hope before my flight leaves i can still get the one in kioto, as i still have the pinpoint location where i spotted it, it will be 10 days later from when i saw it so it could be for nothing.

the originals only made it to the sample phase of production yeah. Breakdown was released via botcon several times, both as a g1 repaint, an action master, and a universe sideswipe repaint, and there was a Combiner Wars repaint set(based on a fan digibash lol)
im still confused as to why hasbro started the g2 stunticon set with seemingly no plans to finish it. I'm mildly interested in the Takara set if the colors look good, i never ended up getting the new chug Menasor and he looks kinda cool maybe.

The g2 color schemes are pretty cool imo, theyre ugly and garish but in a fun way, especially the unreleased decos like sideswipe or grimlock.

got back from japan, and from what it feels like i snagged the only world dragon on the kansai region.
he is a heavy parts former, but what he needs to do he is very fulfilling.
the only "out of the box" picture i will include is his combination with megatron because otherwise the list of things he can do would get absurd with the amount of fan modes you can make.View attachment 8775521
