I hope one day bullshit online techmologies evolve to the point somebody can shoop in the G1 gang to Bayformers

Got Big Convoy today. As shellformery as he ever was, but they at least try to tuck all the panels away. Oddly, his front legs can only be tucked up his back when not deployed instead of just hanging down and behind. Hopefully an upgrade kit will come out to deal with the egregiously visible undercarriage though. TLDR: If you can't get your hands on some version of the original or reissue, this is good enough to at least own a Big Convoy toy.

Be careful getting Amalgamous Prime out of the box if you pick him up. Mine practically fell to pieces because of the weaponizer gimmick, and definitely has some loose pegs I'll need to thicken up cause they're way too easy to come apart when trying to move him around. Kinda surprising, cause I don't recall having this issue with any other weaponizer type characters, and hard to justify when voyagers are 43 fuckin dollars now.

The Sky-Byte I wanted was gone (RIP, hope you enjoy it, kid) so I picked up a Seaspray instead. Neat little guy. Looks like they just restocked with new stuff. Lots of Thundercrackers, Amalgamous Primes, and Brawls.

ETA: Transformers packaging sure has come a long way since the Armada days. Almost felt like there were more twist ties than toy at the time, and getting them out took half an hour. Seaspray was held in by a single clothing tag and a clear rubber band doing nothing. I've got Cosmos, Kingdom Warpath, and now this guy. I really like these modern minibots.

ETAA: I will not ignore the fact that I paid $30 for this little guy when deluxes used to cost $12.

Returned empty handed in TF, but got something sort of old ass Gundam that was still in its torn up box from the 70s. Had to get rid of the packaging due to flying down, so I had to stuff a bunch of shit in my suitcase.

But what do you know, God decided to throw a fucking wrench of a blessing at me. A friend of mine got me a ROBOSEN. A ROBOSEN, GUYS.

I will try so hard not to sperg out for the next 6 months.

Be careful around the legs!

I'd get him but got fucked out of my preorder and then the leg shit and yeah yeah yeah you get me I COVERED THIS. SEVERAL TIMES.

If he ever manages to go on discount or something else happens maybe I'll get him but I'll likely mod him as best as possible with what's available for that kind of thing.

Also I got the third party tiny version that's just a shrunk down one but a lot cheaper made to be compatible with that one if you want to store it inside him where the non transforming parts go on pre order. Already mentioned that but whenever that thing comes it's gonna take like 70 something out of my account so I'm gonna have to plan around it.

Lots of looping... like tidal wave... tidal wave... tidal wave...

I really like the "MP" third party one I got on discount with christmas money. Already liked the look but the stylized look has really grown on me on top of the rest of the aesthetic choices, especially after discovering via reviews before I got it that the arms move like they do in the ps2 game where you gotta ratchet out the side boats to get a true T pose if you want to t pose him. Every review docked that as a complaint as well as him being lighter than titan figures as another one but that latter one just tells me he's not gonna fall over constantly if I pose him leaning forwards.

EDIT: OH SHIT I forgot to bring this up! About a few weeks ago I found a guy on ebay that sells custom star sabers and some other transformers swords on top of other stuff. Kinda pricey though because they're like $20 each.

Here's a link to the listing of the default color one, the recolors should be easily found from that listing.

I already got a 3d printed one that was cheaper and slightly smaller than this from a few years ago but I might at some point get one of these, no guarantee. Not sure if I'd get the normal color one or one of the variants based on the toy only recolor or the nemesis prime one.

i notice nothing unusual about tidal wave's legs, does it need to feel tight to snap?
