https://youtube.com/watch?v=MUfRWkTyLksI get the feeling they made Unicron the first as a bait and switch for people to get hooked to this "crowdfunding platform". Every other figure so far could've just been an premium online-only item as part of a new line, and Omega Prime not being fucking bummed up.
I hate it when they use a form of psy ops to depart you from your money.

I can't translate the moon runes but I think they are experiencing the other boards on 4chan and are not happy about it.

Well I admit this makes more sense than fucking Megatron turning heel in IDW2005's continuity.
Megatron's "becoming an autobot for a bit" thing in IDW and other transformers stuff at the time made it make sense kinda at least with the whole "Was originally working to overthrow the corrupt ass prime senate but then let his rage and resentment just completely fuck with his judgement leading him down the path he went on" thing.

All of these things of decepticons becoming an autobot weirdly seem to kinda loosely take from how in Armada Starscream joined up witht he Autobots for a bit (and scavenger became an autobot too but that's a different story)

I've been saying this shit for years before these youtube people lmao. Also Unicron wasn't the first, but it was the first transformers one and it was more or less a slightly taller titan class they skimped out on the engineering and then paint on last second. I still remember how ont he prototype the planet panels were going to fold INTO the hollow ass legs rather than limply sit on the sides of them.

no way I could afford it at 500 and I hate how it's weirdly had a ripple effect of causing scalpers to hawk the other versions of unicron for 300-500.

I still have my $50 one from when I was a kid somewhere, I'm pretty sure my parents got it on discount too lmao. Many memories of none of us being able to transform it right once it was in robot mode.

This is from Thundercracker's tech specs bio from 1984:
"Not totally convinced of the Decepticons' cause, but they persuaded him to continue battling Autobots. ... Doubts about cause sometimes impede effectiveness."

Although the G1 cartoon and comics never explored this, it is in character,

There was a lot of interesting things in those old bios that were never really explored. Bluestreak's traumatic backstory and his pacifism,
Mirage's "Prefers hunting turbofoxes on Cybertron with his high-priced friends" and
Kickback's "Charming, but cruelly clever... makes friends so he can influence them to do his bidding by digging up facts he can hold against them. Humans particularly susceptible to this Insecticon."

I Hate the victory saber was locked to haslab because I dont wanna spend 500 bucks for either MP or the legacy figure.

Now I can't verify this, but a loooooooooooooong time ago I remember reading on Bluestreak's history. he was a merchant. Megatron came to his home town and slaughtered everybody except for him. Why? Having one traumatized survivors would be a warning to others.
Also note Kickback and Bombshell had higher intelligence ratings than Shrapnel, and Bluestreak had higher firepower than Optimus Prime, and close to defense. They focused on how durable Brawn is, and he was, but Bluestreak was pretty resilient. Also Trailbreaker, of course, but there ya go.

From this site:

What is not widely known is the underlying reason for his endless droning: to hide the fact that he hates war. Despite his formidable weaponry and his blazing speed, he is basically not a warrior type. Autobot Commander Optimus Prime's faith in him helps sustain Bluestreak in the heat of battle. Optimus knows that Bluestreak will be forever haunted by the memory of his witnessing the total destruction of his city back on Cybertron by the Decepticons. He was the lone survivor. "There's some demons runnin' loose inside that boy," says Hound, "and sometimes I think they grab hold of him and won't let him go."
As powerful and threatening as he is, Bluestreak can be completely undone at times by his disdain for combat and his reluctance to fight.

With the exception of one line in one episode ("Such senseless violence!"), this was never explored.

wasn't a lot of this more from the old Marvel comic?

IIRC the old character bios for gi joe and transformers were written by Marvel writers from the time, but yeah Marvel did pull more from the back of card character bios for the characterization in the comics.

With the skyrocketing prices, Omega Prime QC disaster, and the Tron one being the biggest Haslab flop ever, the whole thing does kinda seem to be losing steam...

TF is apparently getting another Haslab next, if they fuck it up again I wonder if it's gonna be the death knell.

Or when their Leokaiser sets are shipped and their riddled with even more QC problems.

Non-devastator Combiners not actually combining in a way that lets you use any figure as a limb or arm in different configurations (literally the whole point of non devastator combiners) and costing nightmarishly more than the last time they did a bunch of combiners because the voyager with the leg piece now counts as a commander and the deluxe sized figures with skimped on engineering count as voyagers which are now the price of leaders really fucking shows the state of things.

They've priced out kids, now they're pricing out collectors... who the fuck is going to even be able to buy these things by the end? Who's even gonna WANT to outside "value speculator" parasites?

EDIT: I almost forgot there WAS a devastator that followed the same rules as the non-devastator combiners, really funny I did because he's literally one of the only devastators I had for years.

Walmart exclusive redeco of the energon one, found out FOREVER ago the energon one was called "buildron" overseas which makes sense given they already named scavenger devastator over there.
Shit was a lot cheaper than any current combiner offering too.
If you count these 5 guys and scavenger/devastator from armada, that technically gives a 6 man constructicon team though that was likely just a coincidence since they aren't related.

It's possible that Dreamwave or IDW fleshed out Bluestreak's backstory. I'm really only familiar with the G1 cartoon and the Marvel US comic.
there's probably a meta joke to be made of somebody who's some very literally who Autobot with an alt-mode of like, a Yugo, and he's all "I may not look like it, but in the UK comics I'm really a big deal"

I don't think Bluestreak's backstory was ever consistent in any canon.

I think the "sole survivor of Praxus" was from the old British Marvel comics continuity, although it's Bluestreak's most popular backstory in fandom lore/fanfiction (like Starscream being the Winglord of Vos). In Aligned continuity I'm pretty sure Bluestreak was from Iacon, not Praxus (& even if he did, Praxus wasn't completely annihilated/there was survivors).
