I used to have a huge collection of early internet Transformers stuff. Much of it has been lost in various computer crashes, but is there any interest in this kind of thing anymore? I still have some .ico and .midi files.
This was one of my favorite Transformers sites back in the day, Transformers Icon of the Day. I have most of these and there are some additional palette-swaps of those files here.
I'd be down. I need good TF fanart. Not gooner tranny shit and search engines SUCK.

Nephew is getting a stuffed Optimus for Christmas. I'm starting the collecting young for him.

I remember someone made a booru for the battletech stuff a while back and abandoned it, but others are taking care of it. The monster girl people on /jp/ have their own stuff. Do something like that.

Optimus fighting Black Friday idiots with a spare gun that uses shells because he needs to return the scarf Smokescreen got him.

I'm so angry about everything black friday being dogwater this year in terms of discounts save for shit I cannot afford in any capacity. HOWEVER Walmart had those 2 deluxes for 15 dollars thing (which years ago would be a 2 for 1 black friday pricing) and they had figures they literally had on shelves for 28.99 next to the 2 packs that had the same figures inside like the "devastation" optimus which is just a deluxe scaled g1 toon optimus meant to be a budget version of the much larger ss86 has been shelf warming for a whole year. The walmart exclusive wave figures that just dropped have been marked up to 31 dollars which i'm guessing is going to be what all deluxes will be in a few months goin by previous patterns. I fucking hate everything

But heeeey! Now I got G1 cosmos and miniconless armada wheeljack!(armada wheeljack is not wheeljack he's onlyt hat in the US one it's legalese nameslappery shit)
No i am not going to pay a scalper to get his minicon from the shattered glass online exclusive wave 2 pack. I fucking hate this setup I'm fine with just having jolt from the discounted powerlinx recolor exclusive that started this retarded trend. One I really wanted was the deluxe toy based optimus but that was sold out online only available for pickup from a walmart not even near me. Never had good experiences with timed walmart exclusive shit so I'm not gonna get that. it's FINE extra space yeah sure haha wahoo

No clue how durable the generations figures are for kids these days or if they got these deals where you live but the walmart black friday bundle with the g1 bumblebee and optimus would make a pretty solid gift. It's like weirdly the most highly stocked one that isn't the repacked black friday bundle from a year or 2 ago with legacy elita and tarantulas, at least by me.

Anyways yeah from my perspective both 86 bumblebee and devastation optimus feel really undersized compared to the other figures so they scale better with each other than anything else. They're also small figures in general with barely any accessories so 15 dollars for both makes sense.

EDIT TO AVOID DOUBLE POST:

That's funny. I didn't know Shockwave learned how to be a doctor.

I know the piccolo funny here witht he text but also that shockwave recolor idea is directly based ont he reused shockwave cels that were recolored in the background of some g1 shots as like 2 of these guys that looked like that exact color scheme. When they started putting out figures in siege of the background guys accurate to their g1 coloration in that one 3 pack I kinda hoped they'd eventually do a release of a 2 pack of recolored voyager shockwaves. Didn't happen and if they did it now they'd likely charge 100 or some bullshit for it and include a random unrelated remake of red alert's minicon.

Took a pic of the two guys I got at black friday. I'm pissed there's no actual spot to put the sword-things in robot mode but managed to loosely hang them on the leg mushroom pegs. This is not intended but it's what I have to do for now till I either make or find someone elses' solution that isn't just hindering the articulation by moving the car door flaps out.

They aren't even from the same fucking continuity but they look really good with each other. From two 25 turned 30 dollar figures that were the partial darling of ebay scalpers and "value speculators" for a while to a 15 dollar 2 pack bundle a few short years after release, says something. I'm sure if I didn't grab this one one of those people would have bought this, split them up and charged their "value" independently in a few months.
I technically also have the g2 breakdown/bumblebee and the optimus/bumblebee 2 packs but a relative paid for those and then made the decision to hold onto them till christmas.
Image seemed fine till I zoomed in, I'm guessing the weird mild gross grain is due to SOMEONE cleaning my camera off with their T shirt ruining my picture clarity of a 10 year old camera forever. Or maybe I'm just schizoing out but like seriously I'm still kinda miffed about that after years of being told "DO NOT DO THAT USE A MICROFIBER CLOTH AND SPECIALIZED CLEANER ON NON REPLACABLE LENSES" by people making me really sketchy about messing with the lens of my camera. It was a bit worse when there was more dust on the lens but yeah it's just there forever now I guess

For the presumably 2 people that care, it seems that Outright games will be losing the license for Transformers, as a Steam curator i was following posted a message saying that Transformers Battlegrounds would be Delisted before january 1st 2026. I don't know if their other 2 games will be plunged into the abyss of vaporware, but here are some images
On one hand, i'm not going to weep over shovelware being transported to oblivion. On the other, Hasbro's incredibly stingy deathgrip on the Franchise isn't going to ensure its success and it would be nice if these corporate assholes could at least allow old Transformers games to exist at the same time with another company or two holding the license for making games. Still, it's interesting to see that this happened so soon for Outright Games, i guess their products really weren't selling well and if anything, only devalued the brand from a visual standpoint, since people would now associate Transformers with cornercutting and being cheap(well that's not entirely untrue, but you can only get so far by doing that.) To veer from this subject, since it's blackfriday, i decided to get the Spinister and Topspin double pack and Cybertron Sideways. I've seen some people complain about Spinister being the Marvel version, but i'm actually glad they went with this iteration for the character, Spinister is another character where i detest the IDW version
the marvel comics colors are my favorite iteration of g1, they just pop more and feel less plain.

We've finally got our first look at Bruticus.

Just kidding, his frame is very silly. Here's the whole thing:

Personally I dig it. They gave him a much stockier frame than Menasor or Superion, and he doesn't have silly door flap legs.
the head and body look quite nice but the arms look a little thin for my liking, still like it but just a little iffy.

Arms are too thin for as wide as he is and the shoulder connection's all fucky

You can tell they did it based on this one static pose image when there's a lot better looking ones out there that show how shoulders would work. Even then the heads too small for looking like this one below.

Also jesus christ that tank carrier trailer base mode is half assed compared to literally any other bruticus that has one of those in a way that bothers the fuck out of me. I mean I've been long since priced out of these combiners but still! It could be a lot better!

I kind of like how if I am seeing this right, Onslaught's body becomes a support frame for the legs. Maybe it's just me, but that sits right for some reason.
