Standard procedure for Hasbro to not capitalize on something which is considerably easy to create. They've had so many chances to just do a Marvel Soundwave recolor and apparently only now did they decide to get into action. On the topic of missed oppertunities and mentions of the Bayverse, ROTF videogame Soundwave has a fantastic design, one of the best in the entirety of Transformers and i'm still stunned Hasbro hasn't made a modern version of this guy. Not even 3rd party companies have a made a figure of videogame ROTF Soundwave which is unfortunate

The original 2009 deluxe class Soundwave figure also got a release from Takara in black and red which looks superior to the original one. It was exclusive to japan only and a specific retailer at that. Making it possibly one of the rarest figures in Transformers history

I do hope this version of Soundwave sees a release somehow. Even if at this point i'd prefer a 3rd party company to take the mantle and bring him to reality instead of Hasbro

I always found it weird finding out this one was a european only release because I vividly remember a lot of secondhand ones in my area as a kid. I don't think I ever got them though but I'd need to dig through several decades old boxes to find out

Also I just looked this up after remembering it and yeah there's apparently no actual bio info about this with allt he wikis just going "he has similarly unique symbols to g1 skyquake for some unknown reason"
As a kid I thought these guys were like all on a specific 3 guy sub-team or something because they all had the same colors and similar helmet headsculpts

Realistically speaking, Hasbro would be retarded not to pursue this type of show, it would grant the franchise a necessary re-invigoration after years of a decaying decline. I'm carefully optimistic about this. Now if we could get some successful movies and games alongside this with the already successful Skybound comic, it'll feel like 2007-2013 once again, but that would be supremely optimistic
 
My galvatron parts arrived in the mail today. For some reason despite the box being tiny and easy to stick in the mailbox the delivery person fucking just threw it at the corner of my front door in a spot you couldn't see from the door or the street. I'm glad I saw it when I did because like it went from sunny to freaky scary intense overcast in like a few minutes after I grabbed it. Oddly the parts are more matte than I thought they'd be but it's fine even if they don't technically mesh with the metallic purple. They work with each other, and REALLY work with the figure.

The Rightful Decepticon Leader has returned with a mighty boon.

Kentucky has hidden pockets of non-scalped figures--even some NIB Japanese ones that were well under 40 bucks. That's good enough for me. Also nabbed a Dinbot clone and Beast Machines Blackarachnia that are both is good condition. Just gotta clean off a spot on Dinobot's tail.

And I got a new 2021 Optimus Primal and Hot Rod figures that copied the original packaging of the first runs. I'm really tempted to open up my Japanese ones, as the parts have popped out of their plastic shells anyway, but I guess I'll ask your guys' opinion. I hate saving boxes though, unless if I like the art, then I cut out that part. Again, I'm a shitty collector in that sense.

If you have no intention on reselling the figure throwing it away is good enough. I will say that japanese Transformers figures, especially older ones are hard to find especially when they're not scalped to astronomical levels, so even the box feels like a special item, but ultimately you'll have to make the decision yourself.

I was wondering what you were refering to, so i took one single glance at the xitter page and... that's pretty bad (not to mention some of the comments are incredibly faggy and retarded, deliberately inventing scenarios that either do not exist or misconstruing the truth). After the IDW debacle, i think Hasbro has been considerably more alert and conservative with what is now allowed in their comics and what is forbidden. At the end of the day, Hasbro wants profit and if insane politics will be inserted in the comics, i'd assume someone would get a message that this wouldn't be permitted because the last thing they want is a repeat of the previous publisher. After losing Transformers and GI Joe, IDW has been collapsing at a rapid velocity, such as firing 39% of the workers and privatizing themselves. I imagine Skybound wouldn't want a similiar fate, even if they're doing better with their other comics

Kirkman is writing the future Energon-verse issues from 25 onwards. I'm pretty sure DWJ hasn't inserted any retarded idpol shit yet or genderspecial crap so we're good.

I'm keeping an eye open on Kirkman though, maybe he'll keep his politics to himself, but it doesn't hurt to be cautious.

/co/ at times back then was legitimately a real fun place for tf stuff. It's kind hard sometimes going through my archives finding stuff that would land today though. They used to have transformers generals and at times it was great. I even have buried some info about one really old spammer who would go on about Beast Wars and /co/ had huge infographics warning people about how messed up he was.
