That and the Megatron one are very nice statues, though.

Yeah, but the female models that are out there are larger and nicer at that price point. Even the ones from Iron Factory could transform. They sort of went with a Kotobukiya Frame Arms Girl style figure. Something this company should have gone with. After all, it's the same company! Like seriously, these start at $175cad. There's a rather nice Berserk statue coming out that's 11" for $60cad currently.some people like girls
it kinda shakes out from there
I have the Optimus one, they're just fun designs imo. But I'm afraid alot of coom-brains are gonna ruin the silly concept in no time...I don't understand the idea of these small statues. Hopefully they do a Soundwave though. Megatron and Bumblebee are the only ones that look okay.
I could spend less on the Cyclion figure. My Transformers collection needs more motorcycle cats. With a little work you can have it look like Mitsuyoshi if you want to confuse people, or a bit of repaint work and you could have Morrigan that looks better than any of the Capcom crossover stuff. A repainted Lavender Cyclion could make for a good Transmutate that isn't retarded.I have the Optimus one, they're just fun designs imo. The Brave series already did something like that. The baby robots are pretty cute and get up to funny shenanigans at least. I like that they can transform into mini-cars just like their dad.Inb4 pregnant soundwave with brood of cassette children.
I think he'd be carrying around Ravage and have a ponytail. Ponytails are often used for mature characters. Something fitting for Soundwave.Inb4 pregnant soundwave with brood of cassette children.
I think this is where they got some of the design inspiration for Jetstorm and Slipstream in RID.The Brave series already did something like that. The baby robots are pretty cute and get up to funny shenanigans at least. I like that they can transform into mini-cars just like their dad.

LOVE Brave. Especially Goldran and J-Decker. Kotobukiya did some modeling kits for each series too. Just wish they had more merch runs despite being an older series. The Brave series already did something like that. The baby robots are pretty cute and get up to funny shenanigans at least. The Sideswipe/Sunstreaker mold is genuinely baffling. it literally HAS hip joints, they're just pointlessly and retardedly blocked by that dumbass hip skirt. its one of the weaker Binaltech molds for sure, the giant ass flap sucks as well.I found an Alternators Sideswipe dirt cheap... and I can see why. I can live with the mediocre legs, but the shoulders are atrocious no matter how you configure the kibble.

So, I've modeled a double-jointed hinge to replace the black plastic bridge that connects his rear-bumper car kibble; some quick-n-dirty measurements lead me to believe I can use the double-hinge replacement to make the wheel wells fold OVER his shoulders, beefing them up and integrating the kibble better instead of leaving it to rest on his back like a giant open pouch.
Wish me luck ejecting the steel pins.
Don't say that or James Robert may come back with a sequel to his Soundwave egg-laying fanfiction.Inb4 pregnant soundwave with brood of cassette children.
I think the biggest giveaway this is meant to be other characters is the fact the feet are just rather boring looking and he doesn't have the classic car nose feet (which are his heels now), or the wheel heels which he actually used in the show sometimes. But the rear wheel hub shoulders are definitely from Animated Bumblebee, no question.Legacy Animated Bumblebee

There is no way this mold was made for this character. Though the bot mode does look like a good Cyberverse Bumblebee. With some vehicle tweaks you could get it there.
I think this has been the flaw with most of the Animate characters they've released so far, they were meant for other character except for Bulkhead.I think the biggest giveaway this is meant to be other characters is the fact the feet are just rather boring looking and he doesn't have the classic car nose feet (which are his heels now), or the wheel heels which he actually used in the show sometimes. At least he still gets the cherry light so you know his alt. mode is the Fanzone Shitmobile lol.
I disagree fully with Prowl. That one absolutely was meant to be him. In contrast, I see Bulkhead as being easy to make into any other generic rectangle military truck. Hell, if Hasbro's ballsy enough, maybe even a Sgt. Optimus Prime down the road.I think this has been the flaw with most of the Animate characters they've released so far, they were meant for other character except for Bulkhead.
Sgt. Optimus Prime was originally supposed to be just a dump truck but some speculated they could turn the Auto Roller mold into him since it would be a better fit so today that could work with a little change to the base Bulkhead mold. I personally repainted a Prowl into a G2 Roadpig because they'll never release that character again. For the head I just made a mold of the upgrade kits helmet, cast it, and then shaved off anything I didn't want.I disagree fully with Prowl. That one absolutely was meant to be him. Oh really? Interesting, I haven't heard anything about Sideways. I'm not sure the mold would work as well, since he's not going to have both wheels folded up on his back or the long exhaust pipe missiles on his arms.Sgt. By the way, the mold Prowl used will most likely be used for the Unicron Trilogy Sideways
