My gawd, they maybe finishing a combiner!
Also, loving the look of Star Toys ST-02. Looks way better than the official Tracks.

Their Blitzwing was okay.

Do you think Masterpiece Jazz and Mirage will ever happen? Because I'm considering breaking my "no 3rd-party" rule.

Jazz I can see happening first but there's also talks about Takara ending MP. There's a 3rd party Sideswipe I really want to be good because it has better proportions than official and a really nice Prowl coming out.
One reason for them wanting to get rid of MP class is the cost to design and manufacture the figures, however 3rd parties have shown that they can do it and do it better in a lot of cases.

3rd party is honestly significantly better than hastak. I've had no issues with any of the approximately 100 different 3p figures I've gotten. Just avoid KFC and you'll be fine.

I would also avoid X-Transbots. Zero QC and terrible transformations. KFC has really done some good Junkions. Their other figures are a little too fragile.

The new MP Ginrai looks terrible. Base Optimus Prime figure looks decent but in Powermaster form it looks like it should just be a mainline figure. It's not worth the $400usd they'll probably ask for. The smaller simple Optimus should be around $120 at release.

GOOD BYE MASTERPIECE LINE.

Despite what people say about Rob Liefield (him being a terrible artist is true)

He at least made an attempt with feet.
Base form looks okay. Just not MP

I'd say KFC's version is better. They even have the pin area on the waist the toy and cartoon had.

Combined mode looks okay too from them and has the proper feet shape for him.

I originally thought it looked pretty bad until Takara's attempt.

So people are buying it on Amazon Japan. How is shipping there? How does the pricing compare to BBTS or HobbyLink Japan?

Not sure. I rarely buy stuff outside of USA due to shipping and customs hassling people. If I have to I'll get stuff from China or Singapore but that's rare and expensive as fuck. Getting stuff here is next to pointless when there's only a few good stores to go to and needing to get multiples. One for myself, one for my son, and sometimes a few to customize depending on the character. 99% of the time Walmarts here will have jack shit so the only option is Toy R'Us.

From what I've read and was told by a friend, standard shipping is $50 so you'll want to get a few things from Amazon.jp. Their rates jumped during covid and never dropped.
Currently Ginrai is $115.73 without the trailer on Amazon.jp with 1% discount. Plus you'll have shipping and customs.

Ah, that might explain things. I bought just a couple of books from them and the shipping was twice what the books cost.
But I think with BBTS's $4 shipping, it might balance out.

I have a friend who likes buying anime figurines and statues and she's paying a small fortune on just shipping alone.

Toys R Us is on the same level as Walmart in my experience, which is to say that most of the time they have nothing but you might get lucky sometimes. Toys R Us is better than Walmart when it comes to other toys, at least.

Toy's R Us here has been okay but no where near as good as back home. Walmart hasn't restocked on anything besides Legos. Which is okay as one of my sons like Legos and has a Lego city going on my garage. Managed to get some more garbage trucks and tracks there. They also seem to keep older seasons stuff on the shelf longer than other places so if my son missed anything I can usually do a run and find it there.
