Nah. FTMs in general pass better than MTFs because masculinized features are larger and more pronounced, but certain things like the softness of the facial features and general head size and body size are strong indicators
I thought it was less that masculine features are more recognizable than feminine ones and more that you can grow something with hormones but you can't shrink it with hormones. Ie. You can take testosterone and grow a wider jaw, but estrogen won't make your existing bones shrink. Same with voices.
Masculinity is actually less marked than Femininity. While you can indeed see obvious male features and interpret them, its actually the absence or hiding of female features that makes it harder to immediately clock pooners.
Pooners getting fat, growing t-beards, getting the teetus deletus, having short hair etc... are all in service to obscure feminity. Aka removing features. Its why "packing" has been observed to be pointless.
The issue for troons is that men are already less marked than women. You cannot remove features to look more like a woman, you only look less of a man. Women are not the opposite of men feature wise.
Some troons try to add features such as prosthetic breasts, or make up, but these fail because adding features only creates a mix of less marked and more marked physical aspects and lead to a Frankenstein appearance.
This is why women have been able to wear male clothing across history and societies. Male clothing is not as marked as female clothing. Its also why you have a gender bending that "works" with pre pubescent girls able to pretend to be boys, prepubescent boys able to pretend to be women (like in historical plays), and women who can pretend to be men. Men are mostly sol.
This is not to say that pooners really pass, but it is easier for them. Given time and physical proximity and interaction, anyone can still clock a pooner. It just happens far faster if not immediately for almost every troon.
