I see many comments saying that this is accurate to the TIM experience and handmaidens pretending to relate to being a creepy unwashed guy obsessed with anime girls. Not even the audience can tell if this is meant to be pro troon or anti troon.
 
In another thread someone posted an interview by the director where he talked about being “gender fluid” and how magical girl anime is a metaphor for the trans girl experience or something. So even though it’s seemingly very creepy and unvarnished it’s meant to be pro Troon. Unintentional self own?

They just get very in their own bubble and don’t understand how it comes off to other people, I suppose. I guess that troons lack self awareness isn’t exactly news.

Edit: I agree it’s partly self aware, I was pretty lazy in expressing my thoughts on it, but it still feels more sympathetic to the closeted troon than a normal person would feel watching it. It’s that troon thing where they can come up to the brink and describe in detail how pathetic and delusional they are but never see giving up the ghost and touching grass as an option.

I think I was partly reacting to the comment section full of “omg it’s literally me, you reflect the trans experience so well” without a hint that anything is awry.

I think the self-own is somewhat intentional going off his xitter posts (being anti-moe lolishit and how the film 'criticizes' these things), not that it isn't any less gross and retarded to put out there. The guy's a self-loathing autogynephile trying to make this melodramatic vent piece about being an asocial wastrel degenerate who's obsessed with and gets gender envy/euphoria/whatever from anime lolis and how that's ultimately a Bad thing (which it is), but it doesn't actually say or mean anything except to jerk himself off about how much of a weird tranny loser he is. You're supposed to pity the troon for being flawed and mentally ill like a Good Person would, that's the message. It makes it extremely funny that the comments on the video are a mixed bag of gross tranny lolipedos coping and sneeding as they're inadvertently called out for being the gross tranny lolipedos they are and the other half obliging to tranny hysteria and forcing themselves to pretend that it's profound to make something so pathetic
