Nest means to make a home, the idea of permanent (or at least long term) settlement with the intent to raise a family or provide for one/your partner. It sounds more infantile in this context as it seems to imply she's running away to hide in the comfort of momma bird's wing.

I think the wider context of troons n poons adopting vocabulary you'd usually use to describe animals definitely plays into it.
Catboys, doggirls, 'pups', pawjobs, I see this kind of terminology (and much more which doesn't immediately come to mind) being used by non-furries. There's also of course the adoption of petplay behaviour, collars, animal noises, that kind of thing. With the context of the adoption of a larger set of animalistic vocabulary and behaviour, "nest" suddenly feels more... Feral... But also childish. And it's just a reminder of what kind of person is talking.

Just because the boyfriend seems cartoonishly evil. I wouldn't take every detail at face value but I have an intuition there's a real story in there somewhere.

And it's no stretch to suppose that the boyfriend went off the deep end when his weird girl's pussy unexpectedly ceased to exist and she's self righteous about it. That goes way beyond any of the usual sexual disappointment scenarios.
