I wasn't sure whether to put this here or, given the subject matter, in the Tabletop Community Watch thread, but there's recently been a bit of a to-do in the tabletop war gaming scene, because John Stallard of Warlord Games said something slightly chuddy and did a hecking sexism in an interview, claiming that women don't play historical wargames.

...And I don't think I really disagree with him, to be honest.
Women that are in that kind of scene (the very, very few) tend to be more likely to be painters than gamers, and even then, are more likely attracted to the creativity afforded by fantasy war gaming, rather than the dreary, rivet-counting, Axis vs. Allies, historically accurate type stuff. Girls aren't really that big on toy soldiers, guys, soz. 🤷‍♀️

Warlord Games have recently had to put out a statement clarifying what he meant, which isn't especially funny:

What IS especially funny is a certain demographic of people, who have all swarmed into the comments sections on social media, going, "But I'm a woman! And I like historical wargaming!"

And I'm sure you can guess exactly which demographic these people belong to...

There are a lot of gay men who get confused between “He is attracted to me” and “I want him to be attracted to me.” Convincing themselves that every hot guy is in the closet. This is just an extension of that.

Even if we assume they’re telling the truth about how pretty they are (and that’s a big if), it doesn’t mean men will date them over just that. I mean, I think the Venus de Milo is beautiful, I don’t want to fuck it though.

Then they are going to have those be amended to specifically exclude them from the opposite sex bathroom, just so it sinks in that they are unwelcome in the other sexes restroom.

I hadn’t seen my dad for many years, long before I ever even realised I was trans. There were many reasons for that, but recently I decided to reach out to him and agreed to meet. I explained to him about my transition which shocked him, but he didn’t reacted negatively. When we met in person he said he was shocked by my appearance. After having more contact over the next few weeks he admitted to me that he finds me attractive. He said I somewhat remind him of my mother, who he divorced many years ago. He said it makes him rather uncomfortable and he admitted to having weird thoughts about me… I’m honestly kinda freaked out by it all. Anyone ever experienced something like this?

I am a trans women who has transitioned 10 years ago. I have done everything from hormones, surgery, voice training and nothing works. I have no friends or family or anyone to speak with. I am concently told daily that i am a man by every passer by on the street, normally when accidently bumping into someone and they reply "sorry mate" or "sorry bro". (no, they are not gender netueral expressions, men do not women they don't know that) I am called sir by everyone and even when talking to people on the phone, i have been told that i sound like a man. I have never felt so alone because all i ever hear from other trans people who have transitioned is how better their lives are because everyone sees them as their gender. Why is fair that people can pass in a matter of 6 months, but I can't in the space of 10 years. I am very tired and I just want someone to tell me what i am doing wrong because i can't live my life this way.​

True, but who would be doing the enforcing? Troons tend to infiltrate organizations to change laws, atmosphere, and other changes. How would we prevent them from infiltrating and changing the enforcement protocols?
