Fair enough. But if it makes you feel any better the MP community is very careful about advocating for nerfing a unit/mechanic too hard because they don't want to be blamed for CA totally killing something. They're still catching flak for the ancient salamander nerfs like 6 years later and dont want something like that to happen again. Plus there is constant disagreement between people who play Land Battles and people who play Domination mode about which units/factions deserve nerfs lol.
To be fair the flak that the MP community catches might not always be entirely their fault since CA is a company run by batshit insane people. But when I get hit by nerfs that come from MP balance complains or CA just rolling the dice, and it's never the other way around that's when I get grumpy.

I am not an MP person when it comes to Total War even if I played a decent amount of it during Empire and Shogun, and it's cool that there is a dedicated community for a game mode that 99% of the player base don't really touch. I am surprised that CA never tried to go back to the Shogun 2 MP system with Warhammer since it would fit the game perfectly.

Necroing for Nagash
I'm pissed that Nurgle is getting yet another lord while Tzeentch continues to suffer, but maybe the vampire coast will somehow be touched due to Harkon being a mortarch. No release date btw It's coming out September 24th, idk why you wouldn't include the release date in the trailer and just put it in the video description

I look forward to curbstomping Thanquol with Gotrek and Felix.

I was expecting the release after Gamescom, but September 24th is really baffling. The accompanying 9.0 patch must be massive and bug-free (lol); otherwise, I honestly don't know what CA has been doing this entire time.

DLC has been mostly hit and miss, so I am interested in all the "free" stuff, VC rework, changes to Archeon, Sigvald, and actual endgame mechanics. Apparently there will be a slider for anti-player bias, which would be a great option.

A Vampire Coast rework would be nice, but I expect only surface-level changes that also affect the Counts. Curious what changes the Tomb Kings will get.
Also, a map expansion would be nice, but I don't expect that.

Cool! Four new lords to curb stomp as Karl Franz.

Even though I knew it was most likely to happen I'm kinda disappointed they went with the End Times redesign for Neferata with the silly massive hat and more emphasis on being from Nehekhara rather than the pre 2014 Lahmian vampire look

I'd bet GW wants her to be as close to her AoS model as possible which is exactly what they did beat for beat actually

She got the AoS redesign during the end Times. But it does carry the stink of overdoing it.
A lot of Age of Sigmar designs wants to be as big and flashy as possible.
I liked the old exotic vampire sorceress look more

Did you see what they did to Ulrika? No sexy undead ladies for us. They didn't even copy her OG model since unlike her in-game version it has actual tits.

Nor of course, did they go with how she looks on the book covers:

So we're expecting Total Wawa to be put on maintanence mode after this right? No more content after the End Times.
I've heard rumors (cope?) that depending on how well this does, we might see things like map expansions or even more smaller faction pacts. I find it hard to believe since the map is already packed, unless they do go with the map expansion option.

Yes and no, as far as I am aware. There is enough stuff left to make a couple of DLCs and race packs, and there are in-game files that hint toward some potential things already. CA and I think Rich Aldridge in particular has mentioned many things over the years that are/were planned to be included in the game. Resident pear-shaped shill Loremaster of Sotek has also hinted at various pieces of content that will be added post-End Times DLC.

But we are talking about CA here, so there is also the high probability that they will stop any further support because it either didn't sell well or that 40K has become their priority and that they can't divert any resources towards WH3 anymore.

A potential indicator if we get anything further might be patch 10.0 since it's scheduled to be after End Times at some point; the number itself can be seen as a closing chapter or a new beginning. And depending on when the patch will drop, they most likely will have something to show us for the next DLC or just make some excuses, and we will be able to read between the lines.

When did it all go so wrong with CA? They seem to have turned into the shittest company out there.
If I had to take a guess, there are three or four events that probably did irrevocable damage to the company:

SEGA acquiring CA in 2005
Rome 2's release
Non-developers at CA become the de facto deciding factor for what projects get made
CA and GW starting their partnership

Also years of technical debt.
Imagine how much better things would be if they still had talented programmers that could fix the collision issues and AI that has plagued sieges for two decades.
I would actually sink more time into this franchise if settlement skirmish didn't always devolve into me spamming the move command because they got stuck on the corner of a building

Anything CA and its shill support staff say should at best be taken only at face value. They're well-known for baiting with vague information and letting people see what they want to see. This includes any sort of in-game files since a lot of it involves abandoned concepts and code that either stick around because CA's devs are too retarded to clean up from cancelled DLCs or management holds onto for the sake of their community baiting/spin cycle.

IMO any further DLC is unlikely, at least for TWW3. 40k is clearly their intended pay pig, and given CA's hands were somewhat forced with Medieval 3, they'll likely focus their remaining dev resources on that. Also from the possibility Games Workshop have limited their license renewal to 40k at the expense of Fantasy (as it's also GW's pay pig).

True, CA saying one thing and then doing something else is a tale as old as time. Though I wouldn't go as far as saying it is unlikely.

If I had to take everything into account and be as neutral as possible, the most likely indicator of any further support for WH3 will be the 40K beta later this year. If it turns out that 40K is in a similar state as WH3 at launch and a 2027 release would be the final nail in the coffin for CA, then they will have no choice but to push back the release, which means that only WH3 would be a consistent source of revenue. Then they will have no choice but to continue support regardless of whether CA and GW like that or not. Doesn't matter what contractual stipulations exist; CA will not voluntarily tank the company to such an extent as this point to force SEGA to close them down.

I know this will never happen, but I was always hoping we'd eventually get Patchwork Men, Wickermen, and Haunted Weapons for Vampire Counts. There are no table top models, but they are featured in a number of books and lore tidbits.

Total war has become like Tropico, the devs are so comfortable with their monopoly in their niche that they release their games broken as shit and rarely if ever patch them even when they have serious bugs like allies not joining battles where they are essential for your strategy. I'm just about done supporting both of them.
