tl;dw of this video is that every time he tries to put together a community to do something about it and not just sit on their asses and take it, he gets a massive backlash with people falsely accusing him of harassing CA or whatever. Yesterday he put up a community post which explains his feelings on this issue much better than the rant during his video.
The dumbass redditor fanbase must finally acknowledge that CA does not care for TW at all. CA have been trend chasers since the very beginning. They made Shogun 1 not because they had a genious idea, but because they saw how popular RTS were at the time and made the Risk-style map, so they could better market it as a different game. For example, my favourite game in the franchise, Medieval 2, got outsourced to some daughter studio in the land down under who got closed not long after. TWW was made because CA saw the success of fantasy mods so they bought the loicence for a recently axed franchise to save costs.
What makes the entire thing worse is that the mod community since Empire started making mods that essentially do the devs jobs for free. Imagine buying an broken product and then fixing it yourself instead of returning and demanding a refund.

I bet CA is still butthurt about Hyenas not working out and this is their revenge.
Yeah you can tell that there's a lot of big egos driving CA and they don't want to be known as the "Total War guys" despite the fact that it's a massive cash cow franchise for how little effort they've been putting into it for over a decade. They wanted an in on the wokeslop AAA CRAPCUNTS market and it was so fucking bad Sega of Japan had to get involved and tell Sega of Europe to shut it down after Hyenas' disastrous network beta.

These niggas have been sitting on effectively a monopoly and it's still not enough. And yes, it is a monopoly, there is no game that's like Total War enough for it to be a proper ersatz, there's games that come close but they're either too focused on the strategic aspect (some of the Nobunaga's Ambition and Romance of the Three Kingdoms games come close but no cigar since the tactical real time battles are too simplistic) or they're just real time tactics games where the "campaigns" are just loosely connected scenarios with maybe some of them allowing you which units to pick.

They made what is probably the single best Alien related thing in 20 years, and then promptly never followed up on that success, and either fired or chased out the majority of people responsible.

Also, the fact they were treating something as repulsive as Hyenas as their Concord equivalent speaks volumes about the kind of morons that are in charge. I'd argue that Hyenas was even more alienating than Concord.

If the rumors are true and they're making a 40k game, I have grave misgivings about how that's supposed to work. While 40k does have melee, by and large combat is conducted at range, and the TW engine is painfully unsuited at depicting anything beyond 19th century warfare, and even then it struggles. And that's ignoring the gargantuan tech debt they've been dragging around for 10+ years now, and seem utterly incapable of fixing.

I hate to defend Wargaming but CA might have done this shit with Total War: Arena as well. WG was responsible for the monetization but it was CA that gave WG a half-assed game to maintain and then promptly abandoned it and shoved them a game they didn't even knowledge on how to maintain a tech-debt ridden engine.

All of this feels like such a slap in the face I can't believe this game's been basically dead in the water for almost a whole year. CA doesn't deserve the fans they have, especially when you think about the man hours the modding community pools into their products.

It was pretty clear they're struggling to fix the lobotomised AI issue, judging by how they're already planning a 3rd hotfix. Whatever it is, it must be something really load-bearing in the nigger-rigged engine they're using, which is never a good sign.
its been like that for years, the reason lokhir doesn't have ship building like the vampiretes is because they couldn't get it working for dark elves due to spaghetti code.

Honestly surprised we are getting it still this year unless they delay again. Needing a hotfix for a hotfix for a patch is nothing unusual for TW and CA. Video games seem to be the only industry on this planet where you can release a broken product, fuck up its support and subsequent monetization and still be in business and people continue to defend you.

Now, though, we have to bet what is going to happen on the 4th of December. 40K, M2 remaster plus M3 announcement, pledging support to WH3 for at least a couple of years ? Dropping WH3 support with the End Times DLC in 2026/27 ? Age of Shitmar TW ?

It will be age of shitmar.
40k isn't going to work in their engine and the setting is slowly being killed by its new fans.
AoS will be easy they can reuse most of the models and the setting can't get any worse.

im normally not this much of a whiny nerd about this shit but the writing is on the wall.
AoS has "Space Marines but for fantasy" as well. Doubt it will go down well but from a system standpoint it makes sense.
Also DoW4 has been greenlit so they would be competing with that.

I would say "They should've just started making M3/E2 instead" but we all know they'd fuck it up. They simply CAN'T make a normal historical game anymore, as seen with Pharaoh, even there factions are determined by character name rather than the kingdom/shahdom/empire/whatever. They got away with that in 3K purely because it still somewhat makes sense historically as every warlord was out there for themselves but can you imagine firing up M3 and seeing that in the "England culture group" you can pick between William and some other fucking dickhead? Not to mention their insistence on shoehorning in a bunch of annoying as fuck missions and unique faction resources and some casino slot machine you can spin and whatever else. Total Warhammer, as much as I like the second game, fucking brainbroke them and they can't make a simple historical game anymore. It's like how Hirohiko Araki can't draw old JoJo characters in their old style anymore.

ToT content looks good despite or because of the delays.

Unlike *TW:40k, I am looking forward to buying and playing it.

*there are/will be already enough 40k strategy games and I have little faith in the present day CA main studio

I personally would say that this is the result of the community being largely dominated by Reddit

And that was ensured by the deletion of their old forums a couple of years ago.

For example, my favourite game in the franchise, Medieval 2, got outsourced to some daughter studio in the land down under who got closed not long after.

IIRC at that point they were already owned by SEGA. Not sure how much blame they deserve for that.

Not watched the video but I do think comparing paradox and CA is pot calling kettle black in terms of anti-consumerist practices. Fun to see legend going full scorched earth before he dips out (if he actually does).

Seems like he has started leaving the CA plantation.

Honestly, I'd much rather Paradox be the steward of Total War if SEGA were to sell if off or for Paradox to create their own direct competitor to Total War. I have zero faith in CA at this point to be anything other than an eventual shuttered studio with their IP sold off.

WH 3 DLC on Thursday and the 25th Anniversary showcase. Here are my predictions for the shit show, just throwing random shit out:

Announcement that 30/40 K are being developed with a brand-new engine
Medieval 2 "remaster" by Feral + Medieval 3 announcement
More WH3 DLC content by CA Bulgaria for 3+ years
Random sequel announcement from the series, maybe Empire 2
