@Dom Cruise, While I understand reminiscing about the past, I think it's better to move forward into the future instead of being nostalgic fag/tard, because it'll make you very unhappy that "things aren't like they used to be". Instead, you can enjoy stuff like PS2 games and a dead meme like Peanut butter jelly time, and not make it your entire personality.
We're talking about IMDB, why would I not bring up their former message boards? Perfectly relevant to the subject at hand, this was not a fair time to jump up my ass about my waxing nostalgic.
You do raise a good point about not being too stuck in the past, but there's nothing wrong with bringing up an aspect of a website in a thread about a website, imdb had messages boards, I liked them, they took them away, I miss them, so fucking what that I said that?
these are mostly things from 20+ year old properties or things exploring nostalgic old shit. anything that isn't nostalgia bait?
Very perceptive that you picked up on that, I'm impressed because I didn't even realize the common thread with all those things myself.
Here's something from the last 5 years that was not nostalgia bait that I wish I thought of earlier, Sekiro, loved that game.
Then there's another (basically) brand new game that I liked, the video game Prey, which was technically a reboot of an older game but it had nothing to do with the older game, Prey 2017 was a cool game.
I also really liked the game Far Cry 5, a new entry in an older series sure but not really "nostalgia bait"
Can we count things older than 5 years but I had never played them before until over the last 5 years? I really liked Dark Souls and The Witcher 3, both games I had never played before so there was no nostalgia there, they were just good games.
I recall hearing their boards were like, very loud about naming names for pedowood and pretty good about connecting dots
That must have happened near the very end because I never saw any of that myself, but that might explain why they were shut down.
