Legend of Zelda: Breath of The Wild, Super Mario Odyssey, the continuing videos of Red Letter Media, the movies Kong: Skull Island, Godzilla: King of The Monsters and Avengers: Infinity War, YouTube channels like LGR, Defunctland and Yesterworld
these are mostly things from 20+ year old properties or things exploring nostalgic old shit. anything that isn't nostalgia bait?

It was, I'm still heart broken about that over 4 years later, first forum I ever registered for.

I can't believe I can no longer hop on a message board for any movie and reasonably expect a fair amount of discussion and the possibility of a reply if I post anything.

While the imdb message boards had plenty of trolls and dickheads I have tons of great memories of good discussions on there, it was a lot of fun and I'll always miss it.

I'm actually still in touch with a group of friends I met on imdb all the way back in 2006.

Trouble is any movie that's the least bit old or the least bit obscure the board is probably a complete ghost town you'll never get a reply to even if you do bother to post something.

Is it nice that someone archived all the old posts though so you can at least go back and read what people wrote, but it's dead as far as new discussions go in my experience (unless of course you're talking about only current releases I guess, but that was only a small part of imdb message board's appeal)
May I suggest the following:

@Dom Cruise, While I understand reminiscing about the past, I think it's better to move forward into the future instead of being nostalgic fag/tard, because it'll make you very unhappy that "things aren't like they used to be". Instead, you can enjoy stuff like PS2 games and a dead meme like Peanut butter jelly time, and not make it your entire personality.
We're talking about IMDB, why would I not bring up their former message boards? Perfectly relevant to the subject at hand, this was not a fair time to jump up my ass about my waxing nostalgic.

You do raise a good point about not being too stuck in the past, but there's nothing wrong with bringing up an aspect of a website in a thread about a website, imdb had messages boards, I liked them, they took them away, I miss them, so fucking what that I said that?

these are mostly things from 20+ year old properties or things exploring nostalgic old shit. anything that isn't nostalgia bait?
Very perceptive that you picked up on that, I'm impressed because I didn't even realize the common thread with all those things myself.

Here's something from the last 5 years that was not nostalgia bait that I wish I thought of earlier, Sekiro, loved that game.

Then there's another (basically) brand new game that I liked, the video game Prey, which was technically a reboot of an older game but it had nothing to do with the older game, Prey 2017 was a cool game.

I also really liked the game Far Cry 5, a new entry in an older series sure but not really "nostalgia bait"

Can we count things older than 5 years but I had never played them before until over the last 5 years? I really liked Dark Souls and The Witcher 3, both games I had never played before so there was no nostalgia there, they were just good games.

I recall hearing their boards were like, very loud about naming names for pedowood and pretty good about connecting dots
That must have happened near the very end because I never saw any of that myself, but that might explain why they were shut down.

How can we have a "things wrong with IMDB" thread and not mention the ads? Ever since they first sold to whoever their first corporate owner was, IMDB was an enthusiastic purveyor of the most badly-behaved ads short of Encyclopedia Dramatica-tier malware.
I don't know if that ever changed, because the site permanently went on my "no list". Fortunately, the aspergoids at Wikipedia eventually picked up the slack when it came to just looking up who was in a certain movie.

I don't know why there's internet media on IMDB, It just doesn't belong here, because It's new media. Why the hell would they put internet media on the site, I saw that there were Animated web series, Online videos, Review web series and even Let's play series appearing on the site for no apparent reason, I wish they could stop doing that because It's new media, IMDB does traditional media, Nobody even does Digital media on the site.

Pajeets and their horrible movies with ridiculously high scores.
It seems like almost every Indian movie is the best movie ever made going by the score.

I recommend that people check out Indian movies on IMDB just to see how the site changes. They have scaled it back but Indian movies had more functionality on their pages.

Normal IMDB.

Foreign films from Europe and Latin America had either high ratings or average ratings, even the bad or mediocre ones had average ratings, but low ratings at that.

It was a post to point out the extra functionality that shows up when browsing poo-movies. Which movies from Europe or Latin America are you referring to that have exaggerated scores?

It doesn't exist, not even the Chinese worship their films like that.

Let's get my own country as an example, the only Brazilian movie that I can remember with an overwhelmingly great score on IMDb is City of God, nothing else. Only Indians overrate their crappy,

But capeshit fans had already fucked up the top 250 anyway.

IMDb has become really bad as of late for new/upcoming stuff. Looks like the Fandom autists have started to strike.

Firstly, we have the BBC reboot of Danger Mouse: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt4196822/episodes?ref_=tt_eps_sm
If you scroll towards the bottom, it lists a whole bunch of episodes which flat out don't exist, including a movie that's supposed to release in December.

But guess what? The only other place talking about this is a "Movie Ideas" wiki. Even down to the same MSPaint-quality poster.

I then noticed this while looking at Jezza's page: https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0165087/
He has supposedly done a dub for two preschooler franchises. Except again, there's no evidence to substantiate this at all.

I am about 80% sure it's either the same or a pair of similar retards who originate from Fandom making these edits.

KNOCK IT THE FUCK OFF YOU FUCKING AUTISTS.

Amazon owning IMDb makes it awful, for starters. It should be illegal to suppress negative reviews like they've been doing as of late. "Review bombing" is such a bullshit concept — either the public is responding to a product or they're not. Unless it's pure spam that adds nothing of substance, negative reviews shouldn't be squelched or discarded just 'cause there's too many of them.

As tranny commies take over entertainment as well, IMDB will never be perfect. However, by not having the completely astroturfed "critics ratings", I can ignore what the neo liberal elite shills are trying to push.

With that said, it's annoying how capeshit gets an extra 2 points for existing, while good horror movies need to be masterpieces to even be above a 7.
