I really like Reviewbrah. Sometimes I'll catch his radio show and listen to it while I work.

Yes he is a little strange and different., but I feel like he is sincere and honest in everything he does. He likes to review fast food and drinks. So he does it. Nothing ever feels forced. He is 100% genuine.

I think that's why I love his videos. There are very little people on youtube that are sincere like he is and free of drama, and that is quite refreshing.

I already knew, thanks to Google search suggestions formed from people stalking him. I would tell you his address and political party affiliation, but I don't dox cool people.

I don't know what party he's actually registered as, but I thought him being conservative was public news... I realized that there would be a lot more Internet hate thrown upon him if it were. He doesn't deserve that, he's wonderful.

John enjoys some naked cock and apologizes for his greasy and untidy surroundings in this installment of RUNNING ON EMPTY

I want to see him do a fast food story Dogme 95 style directed by Lars von Trier.

I imagine it turns out like David Lynch's quinoa video but even better.

Is reviewbrah a sadlad? Has his expensive obsession with his shortwave show been discussed? I've always had the feeling he spends a lot of his youtube bucks on that thing and it doesn't gain much traction with his fans. I've listened to it a bit, on the soundcloud, but does anyone else bother or is he wasting his time/money?

I do listen on occassion. Usually when riding the bicycle to work. Although there are many other podcasts or music to listen to so he is not in rotiation often. The power of shortwave is just not in internet broadcasting. I have caught him twice on shortwave on the kitchen radio when cooking.

I get the feeling that he accidentally hit it big with his food reviews, even though he really prefers his radio work. Always a tough choice. Do something you sort of enjoy to pay the bills, or do what you really want to do and risk going broke?

I feel for the guy.

I do listen to it occasionally for the lengthy rants, it's not bad.
But yes, he spends a lot of money on shortwave broadcasts (by his own admission still several thousand $ a month even after cutting back on broadcasts).
His core audience on yt (memers and people interested in fast food) don't care about his show and talking about it negatively impacts his yt stats, he has admitted that.
John is struggling with severe mental issues (he does talk about them on VORW) and said that he thinks the show is his calling, even if it reaches very few people(hard to measure as it's SW and there are no metrics).
He talked about things that "keep him here" and it was the show and his support network (family), so I hate to see what happens when he loses the show (at least on SW).

On a more positive note, he has just taken the Jace challenge and is currently evaluating if consuming McChicken meat really leads to Islamic behavior.

How much does it cost to do shortwave broadcasts and why? Just wondering. I don't know anything about it.

It depends on the amount of airtime you book (he books 1-hour segments), but $150-200 seems to be a fairly standard hourly rate.
He has something like 10 broadcasts a week on different frequencies even after he cut back.
Oddly enough, most of his listeners seem to listen online (he does periodical surveys), but he's in love with the medium for whatever reason.
Most people into SW seem to be either boomers or autists (or people living in super remote regions where there is no internet connection).
