I'm catching up on all the recent "bad" reviews and damn, I've never seen him have so many bad experiences so frequently before. A real sign of the times. He always looks and sounds so genuinely disappointed :(. Looks like he enjoyed that new sonic thing though.

In my experience, most of the old restaurants that have been around for decades have gotten lazy. They have poor service and food, and expect people to keep coming in.

Most of the new restaurants in my area try hard to satisfy customers and have better food cause they want to prove their worth.

His optimism, gone...

Tbf besides obligatory missing sauces, the issue was a really bad bun.
Hes also done videos going over numbers, he doesnt outright say it but you know (and I know, because I do this and fall for it) that bad reviews probably get more clicks. People kinda want to see people dog on something; people see 'oh this is DISGUSTING' and go 'why, whats wrong with it', and tbf with engagement you can imagine people see 'oh this burger is great!' and go cool I might check it out, theres not that much to review.

He's pretty much the only reviewer where I actually specifically went out to get an item because of a rave review. It was the Chick-fil-A pretzel cheddar club. It was, in fact, the best fast food chicken sandwich I ever had.

How did you become a LOLcow?
the thread at first is pretty wholesome
then it turned into a shitshow

I would appreciate (sort of) an OP rewrite. Both the YT and FB linked are banned/dead.

What is it with everybody doing dill pickle everything this year
Ive noticed this too. The past couple years, every single snack (cashews, chips, pretzels) has a dill pickle flavor. I know dill is traditionally a white thing, but i swear it has to do with the influx of mexicans...its like a sister taste to the Limon obsession. They love those aggressive, acidic flavors. Its getting more popular amongst the poors, like the Sriracha and ranch obsessions of yore.

I think the mediocrity tipping point is hitting fast food hard. Yes, fast food has always been the realm of the skills-challenged but these employees of late are the most ignorant monkeys ive seen in a long time. Like if they started hiring out of the Goodwill retard pool it would be a step up. The good fast food stops will almost always be staffed by teenage white kids and some creepy 35 year old male manager lingering in the background.

I've seen this everywhere and I'm not sure why its a thing. There's the Zapp's brand gator pickle chips I've seen for many years which are rather good for a once in a blue moon vinegary snack. Pickle flavored everything from drinks to sauce to 5+ pickles atop a burger I don't get the appeal of. I've never been wild on limon dip or other hyper acidic toppings either. Having it there to accent the other flavors is a positive but making it the center stage loses luster fast.

Homie, I need to tell you something. I found Zapp's "VooDoo" pretzels. Now, you'd maybe think they're those little shitty twists or sticks or something. No, nossir. They're like those Dot's ones. Kwispy but not shitty pretzel.

That being said, I see the light has disappeared from his eyes, and I feel that all he lives for now is ham radio.

Damn now I want to see if they have some in my local gas station. Might check it out next time I get gas, thanks for the info.

One exception I experienced was an all Nation of Islam Micky D's run by a total slavedriver. Fries were always hot and the drive through ran fast. The employees were all competent and friendly (yes even to YT).

Talking about how Pizza Hut owners would rather sell the entire chain due to "cost of sit in location".

It's weird that fast food chains, who'd you think will always be able to give the cheapest prices due to collective bargaining and ability to write regulations, cost as much as actual restaurants but with less quality. Either they are terrified of lowering profit margin post highs in the pandemic, or they have so much bloat that the sane thing to do is put them out of their misery.

I'm glad to see that report of the week has a thread; he's one of my favorite YouTubers.

It was genuinely surprising seeing him be disappointed by so many fast food places for multiple videos in a row. Before, you would have the occasional bad item like the Popeyes butterfly shrimp, but most stuff was mid to average. Now it's like 6/10 items are bad, and he occasionally finds good items.

This is 100 percent true; ReviewBrah's more provocative titles, like "Is This the Worst Burger?" got me to click. I kind of stopped watching all the positive reviews as much because they didn't really interest me, but the negative reviews get my attention, and the numbers show that many people are like me in that regard: controversy gets clicks.
I will admit that I am jealous of his following/fandom.
Aren't we all jealous of ReviewBrah's greatness? He's probably the most deserving famous YouTuber.

I'm the same way; I trust ReviewBrah's opinions, and yes, I tried the pretzel cheddar club after his review, and it was pretty good. Chick-fil-A is one of the last great fast food places.

Did you order the Yakub burger?
CEO bite review

Ironically it's actually good albeit overpriced. Wonder if the controversy actually improved sales.
That is an interesting point. I know Burger King and Wendy's dunked on the CEO for his tiny bite, but it might have the opposite effect if people think, "Is the burger really that bad?" and try it for themselves. In my humble opinion, no matter how much meme marketing Burger King uses, their burgers have declined so much in quality even compared to 6 years ago. I will probably never eat there again unless something dramatically changes.
