They have cauliflower crust frozen pizzas nowadays for keto, so I don't get why you'd order John's if you're really into pizza.
People like their junk food. But seriously, you could do the same thing at home just throwing cheese and pizza toppings in a bowl and throwing in the microwave. I think Life With Jen did the same shit. I'll have to find the video later, but it was gross.

every so often ill go and watch reviewbrahs old videos and his evolution is just so interesting in his older videos he kinda came off like a weird out of touch rich kid/jock and then as time goes on his videos just feel more and more peaceful like the dude is just living his life how he wants. its so nice to see. i swear he is one of the only people on the internet who pretty much everybody likes. i hope he does another one of those day in my life videos sometime those were actually pretty enjoyable.

He won't do any more of the day in the life videos, he discussed that in the second to last podcast because he truly hates making them and he's very uncomfortable with showing his surroundings in full (somewhat understandably because of the previous stalking attempts and partly because he's getting ever more paranoid and depressed as time goes by.
There are plenty of people who don't like John, he just doesn't give them any attention in his videos.
Reviewbrah in Youtube videos is a persona, if you want to see the real John listen to his podcast, he released a new one just recently.

ahh thats unfortunate those were always fun videos but i get it given how well known he is he must get a fair amount of weirdos after him all the time. ill make sure to check out his podcast sometime it sounds like its a good one.

ROTW showed up randomly in my recommendations on YouTube. Specifically, the Papa Bowl video. I have never heard of or seen any of his content prior. At first, I was very…. Confused. I’ve known people who look like him and they all have varying diseases or cancers. The video was very awkward and endearing, also captivating enough that I started to watch older videos.

When I decided to lolsearch to see if he had a thread here, my heart sank a bit when it returned positive. Pleased to read that he is unanimously liked here. Great content.

A couple of observations from listening to Reviewbrah's recent podcasts:

  • He seems seriously depressed by the state of the world
  • I think he's way more based than he lets on publicly

I don't think the two are unrelated either.

This isn't any fault of the Brah himself but a lot of his reviews lately feel like they boil down to "well it's fine." Goyslop has hit an equilibrium where it's still not satisfying or healthy but there are so few stand-out awful products even worth discussing.

I suppose he might have some that we don't see because he does try to protect his private life, but I can't help but wonder if he doesn't have any friends.

Even if you're an agoraphobe and an introvert who doesn't like being around the majority of people on earth, humans are a social creature. We crave and need in person social interactions with people we enjoy being around and care about, even if for many people the amount of the amount of time needed is much less than others. It's of my opinion that even the most anti social turbo autists get lonely from time to time.

Most hermits from human history clearly weren't well, and most didn't seem happy, even when their hermit lifestyle was self imposed.

There's times where I enjoy just turning my phone off and not talking to anyone I know for a few days, but I'd go mad if that few days was forever. Eventually I'm going to want to get back to my bar hopping fishing trips with friends normal self again.

Even Josh has friends, and he lives in a Serbian bunker.

I want to see him encounter a product that actually pisses him off and we see some anger.

I'd like to think that it helps for him to have a large following from his shortwave radio broadcasts and accompanying podcast that provide him email correspondence. He's lamented in previous podcast episodes reaching audiences from multiple countries and ages up to 70+, which I'm sure is of some comfort.

Anecdotally, he's personally written back the couple of emails I've sent to him in the past, so I'd imagine similar emails keep him busy in the socialization department that isn't destructive to his wellbeing like certain crackers. Still, the amount of IRL solitude he appears to subject himself to is very curious. Unoriginal and unlikely as the request may be, I'd like to see him attempt some collaborative work with channels that would complement his style.

Completely unrelated type of content, but I'd love to see him get a small VA part in an Alfabusa video.

When he first moved to Florida, he talked about "staying with friends", but that could mean a bunch of things. There's a new podcast on Soundcloud but not on YouTube about Hurricane Ian, which apparently came real close to his house, but fortunately he's okay. He also sticks up for Florida a bunch, "despite what people have been saying about it". Based Brah.

i think it really depends on the person. in his case i think keeping himself busy with reviews and his podcasts help since it is a form of interaction he strikes me as a very down to earth guy who just wants to live his life and as long as he gets to do stuff he loves to do thats all that really matters. but who knows i would not be surprised if reviewbrah has people he talks to maybe over emails. honestly ive always considered emailing him myself dude just seems like a great person to have a conversation with.

i think there has been a couple times where you could see come anger come out but he is really good at being professional and holding it back. but i wont lie the idea of him trying something that just makes him furious sounds terrifying and interesting at the same time. like whatever causes it would go down in history and the company that made it would be so confused as to why this random thing is getting all these negative reviews.

Not really anger, but there were also times where he's too flabbergasted to be angry if the product is something egregious. Like last year when Buffalo Wild Wings gave him a plain chicken sandwich with an insultingly small patty.

Seriously, look at that shit.

The obvious example where he doesn't is the meme: "My disappointment is immeasurable, and my day is ruined." But even then, his calmness is completely impenetrable. I want to see him so pissed he's yelling and screaming and shit and completely losing his composure.

i feel like in some of his older videos you could at least see some disgust in his face and kinda hear it in his voice when he encountered something he was not fond of. honestly sometimes i wonder if he just edits the anger out or is just saving it for his retirement video where he just goes off on every single place he has ever reviewed.

Fast food companies have spent millions upon millions perfecting the most broadly-appealing and chemically addictive way to process food. The salt, fat, and sugar content present in said processed food is supposed to trigger the happy hormones in your brain so that you would want to eat more of it. This is in addition to the "mouthfeel", or the pleasure that one gets upon getting different textures when they're eating (think: French fries that are crunchy on the outside and can pick up sauce without losing their form, but are buttery and fluffy on the inside).

That being said, fast food - especially from international mega-chains such as McDonalds or Burger King - tends to taste similar because they will all fall in line with the similar fat/sugar/salt/additive content. ReviewBrah might just be at the point where whatever fast food item he eats is so indistinguishable from the next one that he legitimately struggles to make comparisons unless it's horrifically bad or cooked better than usual.
