You say a lot of shit and freak out when people cite you. chat is for low quality posts and the lolcows that appear and manage the Killstream turned them into a transformative work that gave us important moments for the forum. Just because you were staff long ago and told Null that he was getting too political doesn't put you above the dumb shit said by the newest a-log to join the forum.

This isn't a dig at Null by any means but I never understood why GC has limited privs for mods but AT never did. It was just a means to interact in real time and share links to streams and yeah, low effort shitposting but it was typically slow by all measures and more or less a way to communicate without using forum standards like proper punctuation and grammar, etc. I always thought mods should have been able to banish problem users but treat it more as a relaxed environment for users. I'm not calling any of this Draconian and I know "lol deal with it fag" but I thought it was fun for the time being when the subforum was slow.
EDIT: feel free to move this to the Senate thread. Just don't hurt me, mods, I have a family.

I think Null's bigger problem is that now that we are used to shit-posting in real time and the containment capsule is gone, where do we go? I'm not IP2, but interacting was fun. Where is the crossover thread? That's what was great in that chat. Gunt-lawgs and IP2 fags mixing it up. Maybe he just wants us all gone, lol. It was a lot of fun while it lasted, @ANiggaNamedElmo

I get what you're saying, Rick, I'm just saying that mods should have been able to handle things in there and not let it turn into a total circus. That's informative but wasn't what I was entirely getting at. I would like it back regardless but this is basically the tough shit rule in effect. Not sure I have much more to say on the topic because I doubt I'm going to change any minds.

The chat was a good tool to discuss lolcows, it maintained engagement on the Killstream long after Pho stopped the streamsnipes and summaries which is a miracle on itself. Ralph being so thin skinned that he started reading Autism Thunderdome chat just because he saw Haru's posts detailing his public LBRY transactions. Ralph and gator have used KF chat to own the Karen Farms eternally ever since, the existence of live chat itself became discussion on the forum as Ralph and gator reacted to the topics discussed. I can name many instances, gator gets caught lying about chat, Ralph threatening people to get into the train, many many Null Vs Ralph moments, gator getting caught reading the KF chat, and many more. chat had a purpose and I feel the forum is missing out, if you think more than just "people socking and spamming".
Ralph and gator will come here and read anything we post.
I want it back, IP2 and gunt are content.

Alongside this I think it kept them always scrambling and on their toes because they would always look at it despite their claims. Initially I would have said to let IP2 have their separate shit but the cross-overs with Alice and Kyler and what-not that the chat serves/served its purpose.
To this end, I like you @Sam Losco but what are all of these lost moments from Tequila Sunrise? I'm just curious as to what instances I'm missing or how the forum benefits from cutting off its nose to spite the face, so to speak. You can't force people to go to the trouble of clipping and posting on the forum just because the chat is turned off. They'll just say 'fuck it why bother'. I get that this is a discussion forum and archiving is important but what is the incentive? I used the chat and tried to make sure everything I could document would also appear here.
Given how much the regulars have reacted negatively to this decision without so much as a fair warning, well, all right. Null's beach, Null's ocean. I can't complain about a free service.
EDIT: I'm sitting in General Chat and they are discussing furfaggotry and the differences between cat people and somehow the idiots on the Guntchat are worse? What the fuck am I even looking at? You know what, nevermind. This is all too bizarre for me.

I can't recall them all and that's the point. I can't even go look through posts to find any. It's just gone. And it doesn't have to be some major event, just things he says. The incentive is if they want to talk about it here, it now has to be in a post instead of the easier method of chat. If they don't then oh well, it's still lost info. If they don't then to me it just shows that they don't care about being apart of this community anyway. And Null wants a community. That's why community infighting is something I can dish out warnings and bans for. That's why you need admin approval to halal someone. If we just allowed the Discord groups to shit everything up there would be no point in using the site because it would just be filled with garbage and infighting. Go look at one of the splinters if you don't believe me. They turn on each other constantly. That's not wanted here.
Null warned them multiple times to stop shitting up chat but they continued to do it because that's what they do.

Understand your point about chat discussing moments that were never archived. But does that even matter ? I can only think of two times that deserved to be archived but they were clearly bait. Gator explaining quantum physics and oldfagging about being on G4 before being called G4. The only thing I have to say about the matter is gator was left holding the bag, going off-topic on the Killstream, nobody cared about what he was talking about and sounding like he pissed his pants for real. chat incentivized people to log in to watch the Killstream, many clips and recaps could not have happened if it wasn't because of chat. You yourself have said who watches this garbage, and indeed it's unwatchable garbage which proves how conversation was improved for having a chat.
@Simply Outplayed @Empresa seem to want a truce from what they been doing on the forum as of lately. I want this thing to be resolved, the last Killstream was shit somehow, Ralph somehow got no jail time and can't serve us good banter. The banter on Twitter was much better.
To be fair, Null wasn't really that involved in chat. Was the main person pushing for people to use chat and the first two months felt like it was impossible. Most of Null's contributions were just talking to Ralph since it's easier to do that than joining Ralph's Discord call and asking for recaps or context on whatever misadventure the Killstream got into.
We have a good year ahead for the kill report. Ralph is a convicted revenge pornographer and gator is still sticking with him to own the aylawgs. Not sure if gubbergate gator would have stuck with Ralph he was eventually going to be a convicted sex offender.
