I feel like its time to put out into the open what we've all been wondering for a while; when does this board close?

Ralph, and by extension the sektur, is dead. Sure, Ralph might not be rotting in his paupers grave in Mexico quite yet, but for all intents and purposes it's over.

There are only two active threads here and they could be consolidated into one without problem.

Ralph goes live multiple times a week without anyone mentioning or clipping it. He is now so boring that no one cares any more. Jersh's recent change to boards means that the handful of active threads (Grace, Cog) that were previously in the Sektur subform have been moved to Lolcow general and now are basically forgotten.

When do we start cleaning up the chairs and turning off the lights?

My personal hope would be that closing down both the board and guntchat would be enough of a narcissistic wound for Ralph that it would cause him to act out for attention.

99% of the chairs have already been stacked in the corner, and all but one of the lights have already been turned off. The forum's coverage of the sektur has consisted of the dimly lit, sole remaining corner table in the room for months now, with only maybe 10-15 people and posters of note hovering around it.

There is no way this board is surviving 2026 lmao
 
What got Gator and Flamenco moved out of this thread? I feel as if it's almost funnier to keep them here. That way if they ever try to look at their own threads, they have to see large text reminding them to carry the gunt. Jokes aside, they belong here more than anywhere else.

It happened when Null did his clean up, same thing happened to the Cog and Thorpe thread. Cog definitely belonged here, he doesn't exist without Ralph.
I think it's just part of the eventual shuttering of the board entirely.

I think that the Vickers thread will be dead after the latest lolsuit stuff is handled. Pantsu has vanished so that thread probably won’t move either.

If we’re being honest, the Killstream and Twitter threads are a little superfluous at this point. Ralph is so boring and low energy that you could probably just move all discussion to a single thread.

I’m agreeing with @Sprate Header on this, there’s no way this board makes it past ‘26.

It’s all part of the Guntal cycle. That was the ebb, just watch. The flow’s arrival is imminent. Every time, some will say it’s finally dead, but then lo & behold, it ain’t dead yet!

I feel like this last go around was a good one. The Scarlet Hampton thing at least had the vibe of 2020-23 Ralph. It was exactly as retarded as I'd hope it'd be. I'm reluctant to say WE'RE SO BACK BASED BLOODSPORTS RESURECTION ECT but, I think we can keep the chairs out and the lights on a little longer.

Just when you think he's finally, totally done, Ralph delivers.
