It's like they created a new black sterotype. Take the black power activist type from the 70s and 80s, get rid of any positives, make them biticher, meaner, racist, super arrogant, and give them a superority-victimhood complex. Also throw in a bit of the Africa fanboy of the 90s, but also take out the good stuff and where the fanboy celebrated the culture and probably did some reasearch, these guys automatically think they're big shots because they saw Black Panther.
All of those things you mentioned definitely had their faults, but damn if I don’t miss them. Especially compared to things like The Root who don’t actually care.

The other two usually didn't use the past to be vicious to others who never did a bad thing to them and had thicker skin. I've also noticed the reason the people can put up more with the "racist old relative" over the woke person is that the ROR usually doesn't try to force you to think like them and cram their ideals down your throat. (Sometimes you can get a laugh out of the dumb things they say.)

Plus they’d actually do something instead of complaining like giving children in the ghettos food, teaching people self-defense, and setting up health clinics among other social programs.

I don't think Malcolm X, even in his militant days, gave much of a shit about some white teenager wearing dreadlocks. He was more like, "hey black kids, wear YOUR dreads with pride."

I understand the advantage and simplicity of going for "hate shares", you get paid the same per click no matter who reads it.

At the same time, it sort of contradicts your desire to be a producer of serious, progressive articles. Half the articles are either listicles or literal troll pieces. The other half are required by editorial to contain one obnoxious "fire starter" sentence that is easily disproven. Sometimes I think obvious contridictions generate more hate shares than simply odious articles.

Hey, white people, don't call the police on us because we'll die. When you think about it, blacks are more likely to get killed by their own than a cop. Yet they act like the 90% of all deaths are by cops and they're trained to kill them. It's sad how there is this mentality from these kinds of activists is that their race are just children who should be allowed to get away with things and don't have to listen to authority and be above the consequences when they act out. This isn't helping them at all.

Yeah, pretty much.

Why do people care so much about Kanye anyways? He's so obviously insane. Better just to PALATR. If you find yourself basing your political opinions on what he says, you're a dumbass. (Hell, based on what any celebrity thinks)

The guy does what he does for fucking attention.

Because he's stepping out of the narrative that people in the entertainment industry are supposed to follow.

What IS it about Beyonce? I mean, she's okay, but genuis? Quite frankly, I don't think Beyonce holds a candle to Aretha Franklin, or Diana Ross, or Patti LaBelle. (There's a REASON Aretha is called "Queen of Soul")
