That is a troll response if I ever saw one, anyone who takes it seriously is a fucking idiot.

No Jury would convict him even under Poe's law.
guys from the modders discord say he is being legit, apparently. I dunno, but the funniest shit is how they're trying to "own" him by stealing the shorts from his mod

update: Looks like they've done it
checkmate, homophobes

The Modding Saga Continues...

So the gayz managed to mod Lara's ugly ass "Klassic" top from Shadow into Rise along with the shorts. As you can see, the results are mediocre.
What follows is the modder getting accused of nerfing Lara's already flat tits. The modder, of course, gave the classiest response, which is hilarious because people who were calling him out were the fellow Gayz.

And, of-fucking-course, this bitch Lito is here as well. You may have heard of him...He's somewhat popular in RE fandom for selling Chris Redfield gay p0rn. He's currently throwing another "MUH DEPRESSION" tantrum on twitter but don't be fooled for a second, he's a known drama ho and a hypocrite. You dare to ship Chris with women? - He's got your number, homophobe.
Here's him getting caught liking his own tweets from his porn acc.

I mean, considering Lito's support for not just BLM, but also crying about depression and selling Chris Redfield porn to the public, it's unsurprising really. Haha.
Yeah, he's a typical tumblrina, I'm sick of his bullshit. People throw money at his patreon for drawing dicks, literally his dream job! Either stop getting your ass involved in every stupid drama possible or quit whining about people being mean not liking your horny shit, we're all miserable here, Lito.
Back on topic, I hate how he draws Lara. Literally all female characters he draws have the same smug "strong woman" face. Better stick to the dicks.

I don't mean to go off-topic but a lot of tumblr, deviantart, and/or twitter artists nowadays remind me of what Chris Chan is when it comes to commissioning art, making OCs, fetishes, and their flaming sperg-out attitudes (real-life modern-day politics about their left-wing ideology included).

Lito is no exception. His drawing of Lara (among any other smug "strong woman" appearances) are absolutely stupid. I wouldn't be surprised if he sperged out on social media about the Mandalorian all because of the one boob-armor character.

lol SE account been tweeting about classic Core games' anniversaries for the past week to the point raiders starting speculating that the remakes or remasters are coming.
But nah, another mobile game...As much Squeenix hates classic Lara they sure love exploiting her image.
and classic lara at that. guess nulara wasn't iconic enough or something, who would've thought....

Remasters of the classics would be harder though, given how badly the grid controls have aged. Wouldn't be as easy as updating them either, since the levels weren't designed around it.

true, but they could at least port them to switch. Would play nicely there... Well, probably except The Angel of Darkness.

It's a mobile game, everything mobile keeps aping shit like Clash of Clans.

At least she can wear her shorts.
It's nice that she has her dual pistols and her shorts back but still, this is like what big name game companies are doing to dead or milked to hell franchises such as; not just this but also; Contra, Diablo, Silent Hill, Street Fighter, Resident Evil, Mass Effect, Warcraft, etc. This is why big name companies are failing hard due to poor standards after poor standards. But remember, they must pander because video games have been serious business for decades. People saw how the first Tomb Raider film starring Jolie became the highest grossing video game film during that time (breaking Mortal Kombat and Pokemon in video game movie sales) putting her as a main film star even to this day, so now the media has to take the idea of Tomb Raider seriously.

The world was on a grid/block system but the movement was free, it's not that different from modern day where angle of attack often decides if you can grab a ledge or not.

I think the biggest problem would be that the old games are corny as hell.

No way in hell was Tomb Raider a free movement system. Moving around in the game or even lining up a basic jump required dozens of little tweaks just to get the basic angle right. It was the most finicky movement system I've ever had the displeasure of using. People complain about tank controls, and, believe you me, I get it, but Tomb Raiders grid based movement system has not aged well in the slightest. And its finicky whether you use a D-pad, analog control sticks, etc. Theoretically, it allowed a lot of fine tuned movement and the ability to do a lot things, but in practice, it was a chore to use once you've gotten used to modern game controls. I'm sure playing this after playing the original Resident Evil felt like a revelation (no pun intended), but going in reverse just brings the issues to the forefront.

To each their own, I guess. Personally, I found the controls not that difficult to master. I liked that Lara could easily fall off the ledge if you make the wrong step, so you have to be focused and actually think where to go and what to climb on. Crystal made TR more automatic and linear, which is fine, but I miss the challenge the Core games provided. They didn't have any scripted events or a map that highlights everything.

Not as corny as Lara not shutting the fuck up about her dad or an Evil™ organisation cult who wants take over the world lol
Honestly, The Last Revelation and Angel of Darkness still have some of the best stories in the franchise and impressive cutscenes for the time. Maybe the writing is corny but it felt more organic for the 90s.

It is a free movement system with animation priority, similar to PoP, Another World, Flashback, Blackthorne and other 2D games that came before it, the lineage between those and TR is easy to see. So it will be stiff but that doesn't change that you can run/jump at a spot from a hundred different angles, it just takes a while to make the animations line up. That's nothing like a grid based movement system like Eye of the Beholder, Zelda 1, and chess.

Unless you meant a GRIDS based movement system, then I would agree, the controls were gay and resulted in a lot of deaths.

You know what, from what I've seen of Final Fantasy 16, Square should just let the same team develop a new Tomb Raider.

You keep the dungeons and puzzles from the new trilogy, expand the weapons and armor upgrades, and it will also allow you to fight a wider variety of stranger enemies. make Tomb Raider an Action RPG.

Yakuza has done it, Final Fantasy 7 R has done similar, it can entirely work given what the classic TR games played like, except in a more structured format.

Tomb Raider at it's core is about exploring interesting locations and solving puzzles. The combat for the early games was never the best, especially compared to it's contemporaries like Deus Ex, but it's strength lied in exploring and navigating the environments. While some boss battles were memorable, the non boss fights were forgettable.
