Well, there were nude mods (nude patches as they were called back in the day) as far back as 1997. For the PC versions at least. And there was also an infamous code for the XPLORER cheating cartridge for the PlayStation version of Tomb Raider III that was one page long. This one worked by changing some values in the VRAM, so no real nude textures. Just some color swapping to make her appear nude.

If Crystal Dynamics its still making another reboot then abandon all hope all ye who game here, in fact, I'll go with a prediction, the soyboys and rainbow hair harpies who probably mandated Lara to be completely unappealing are going to go a step foward and probably make her trans, mark my words. The next Tomb Raider is either going to be trans or they'll going to put a lot of shit into the game that's going to give you the idea she's trans while never directly saying it.

Plus, we know CD already made a reboot back in 2006-08 with its Anniversary trilogy and these three were true Tomb Raider games because they weren't trying to sell their soul to the devil until Squeenix came, purchased CD and then pozzed Tomb Raider for the worst. Even if CD is now in the hands of Embracer, they're never the same dev team as back in the 2000s. They're done. They can't replicate the 2000s because they're done. And me saying this to a franchise that hasn't been relevant since the 2000s is like in the scene off of Whiplash where JK Simmons confronts to the student who can no longer drum with his fingers bleeding and all numb and says the two words, "you're done."

And it still looks like dogshit. I'm still glad a sequel never happened, because the 2018 reboot was a disaster and the sequel would've been much worse. Shit, at least Ben Wheatley said to himself, "fuck that shit" and went on to direct Meg 2 instead.

If Studio Trigger did a Tomb Raider anime, Lara Croft would literally be Ryuko Matoi from Kill la Kill.

Actually, this anime is made by both dj Productions, the studio behind most anime on Netflix based on video games, and Powerhouse Animation, the studio behind the Netflix Castlevania series.
