To be honest, in my upcoming movie I'm going to be playing this tightly-wound convenience store clerk and, I kind of like to research my roles and really get into it. For instance, "True Believer"? I actually worked in a law firm for two months. And then, the film "Chaplin"? I had a little cameo in that. I actually traveled_in time, back to the 20s, where- oh, heh, I've said too much...
 
fun fact: Fry would get unfrozen on a Tuesday after 1000 years of cryostasis. Bender even says it's Tuesday when they hide from Leela in the museum.

I'm watching seasons I missed, I just watched the whole Season 30 of The Simpsons. It's woke and shitty, it's like watching Homer Simpson being raped! The only ok episode was Krusty meets the Clowns. The only good thing I can say was the animation was better.
 
‘The Simpsons’ Replaces Harry Shearer With Black Actor To Voice Dr. Hibbert

Last June, The Simpsons announced that white actors would no longer be voicing Black characters on the show, and now Harry Shearer has been replaced by veteran voice actor Kevin Michael Richardson in the role of Dr. Julius Hibbert, Deadline has confirmed.

Shearer had been the voice of Dr. Hibbert since the character’s debut more than 30 years ago. Shearer will continue to voice his other characters Including Ned Flanders, Principal Skinner and Mr. Burns.

Fox confirmed to Deadline that last night’s “Diary Queen” episode featuring Shearer as the voice of Dr. Hibbert was his last, and Richardson will take over the character’s voice beginning Sunday, February 28.

The Simpsons‘ new policy followed Family Guy veteran Mike Henry announcement last year that he would no longer voice the black Cleveland Brown character on Fox’s long-running animated hit. Hank Azaria also said last January that he would step back from voicing the Indian American convenience-store proprietor Apu after being heavily criticized for doing so.

Richardson received a 2019 Primetime Emmy nomination for voicing the character Rosie on Netflix’s F Is For Family. He also worked on Family Guy, American Dad!, Guardians of the Galaxy, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Bless The Harts, among others.

At least Alex is trying, it's not great (It's like Martin, where the replacement voice can do like one line without struggling to keep it), but he's trying. I don't see recast Hibbert being anything other than Kevin's standard deep voice.

Though I honestly wouldn't be surprised if Harry decided to just up and fuck off soon. He's getting to the point where he's in his mid-70s and had enough, and money ain't going to cut it anymore.

In the cult of "woke" right now, "Black" people - with a capital B of course - are being treated as holy just because of their skin color. So a white person can't dare to voice a black character without committing the heinous sin of
"racism". Which is why Hibbert and Carl have new voice actors ("and no one can tell the diddly-ifference").

Skin color is identity in the "woke" cult.

I watched that Marvel episode a few days back. I remembered why I stopped caring about the new episodes and actually watched a couple of Season 1 episodes afterwards. They hold up surprisingly well, janky animation or not.
