Another "bookend" thing you could do with my idea for a final season is that it would also be the only season aside from Season 1 to not have a Treehouse of Horror episode.

You could make the argument that the last few episodes would be the equivalent to that, but it wouldn't have the same format of three non-canon stories.

I owned a few as a kid. One was Bart drawn as a Ninja Turtle, another was Bart rocking a Chicago Bulls jersey, and there were a couple I had with Bart and the Confederate flag, which was surprisingly a lot more of a thing than people think.

Rebel flag redneck Bart was on par with blackwashed Bart in terms of how often it showed up in bootlegs, even if Google Images tends to fudge the results a lot more nowadays.

I personally never did, but my older brother had a bootleg Beavis & Butthead shirt. I was maybe like in kindergarten or 1st grade when the show came out, but my parents let me watch it anyway. My brother had this shitty Frog Baseball T-shirt with the colors and artwork being way off (like, Butthead's shirt and shorts being purple and yellow or something in the design). Even as a child I could tell the shirts were fake or poor quality.
 
I have this feeling that if Al Jean left, we'd just get somebody worse. Disney would put in some unqualified diversity hire.
