"To the Bee-Mobile!”

“You mean your Chevy?”

“…Yes.”

Not sure if this will interest anyone, but Alf Clausen, who wrote the music for the show for 27 years before getting fired in 2017, is suing Fox, claiming he was fired because of his age and an unnamed perceived disability. Clausen is 78 years old, but it is sad that someone who has contributed so much to that show was disposed of in such a manner.

A bunch of details about this case just dropped. It's a lot to digest, but it still reeks of BS from the producers.
It all started with that shitty Empire parody episode.

Does Homer ever make those rambling "cinematic monologues" in Zombie Simpsons? Like "FORGET IT MARGE, IT'S CHINATOWN!"?

(I'm guessing not.)

“Come on, Marge, I want to shake off the dust of this one horse town! I want to explore the world! I want to watch TV in a different time zone! I want to visit strange, exotic malls! I’m sick of eating hoagies! I want a grinder, a sub, a foot long hero! I want to live, Marge! Won’t you let me live? Won’t you please?”

Kind of sort of, but they're inane. One in particular that stands out was from some 2000s-era episode when Homer was suggesting Bart go to a military school and potentially get stuck in some war caused by George W. Bush. It was just Homer going off on a weird tangent about muh war bad, muh Dubya bad thing. I remember it being really forced and out of character.

Lisa Goes Gaga is a Lisa episode that wanks off Lady Gaga and the second episode is Jeremy Irons voicing Moe's bar rag as it tells it's lifestory.
And to think the latter episode was followed by the family getting kicked out of Springfield and meeting up with Julian Assange while passing it off as a milestone episode.

How much you want to bet they just assumed someone that old was a Trump-voter and decided to cancel him for (most assuredly, even if we don't have proof) bigotry? Or rather, the fact he couldn't do a hip-hop score when he had no personal history or experience of doing one was the "proof"?

Good God am I glad I stopped watching, most of these Simpson's plots being used in earnest now would've been throwaway gags back in the "good" years - like seeing a poster on a theater in the background that said "Gatsby Goes Gangsta" with a picture of a 20's luxury roadster on tacky 20'' rims and Jay Gatsby holding a MAC-10?

THAT would've been funny

MIlking that into a whole episode is NOT.

Has MovieBob ever straight up said he enjoys Zombie Simpsons?
Back when the show had that giant marathon a few years ago, he made some hot take that The Simpsons never really changed and that it was us who did or something fucking stupid like that. He's been defending the post good seasons ever since.

"HA!" - Edna Krabappel

(That's like saying "day and night aren't really different, it's the people who think there's a difference who changed.")

I think all the gout is controlling Bob at this point if he still thinks modern zombie Simpsons is good even to this day.
