Did they take out the gag where Bart wears the bra to look like Mickey Mouse and says in a high-pitched voice, "I'm the mascot of an evil corporation!"I watched The Simpsons Movie on Disney plus last night. I'm shocked they didn't take out Bart's penis in the movie. It really makes you think..

Still there shockingly.
Interesting really, but I guess as Bart would say...Most likely because removing it may cause a shitstorm.
Eh, I still feel they'll go censorship crazy and radically change the Simpsons until it's the Lisa Simpson Show. God knows there's way too much material that could make an SJW rage ("Apu is racist, Homer is abusive, Marge is abused, Bart has white male privilege, too many characters are white"...)

"The Boys of Bummer", "Homer vs Dignity"
Color me surprised, they're considered the worst of the lot. That said, Homer vs. Dignity does have some laughs going for it. Can't really say the same for Boys. These two episodes are apart of my list of the very few Zombie Simpsons episodes I actually like.
I always found the existence of VCDs odd and fascinating.
Reminds me of this one time some guy was telling me about how cool digital download games are versus physical media, as he played some chess game on a PSP or Vita. Flash forward a week or two and he lost all the DLC due to an error, and IIRC he couldn't get it back for some reason. I didn't rub it in his face though.
And while I'm at it, relying only on the "cloud" for storage is a bad move as well. Companies can remove what you stored due to broad and vague terms of service restrictions. They can go out of business. You can lose internet access. The net can go down.
That's why I like having stuff on physical media -- be it vidya or DVDs of Simpsons episodes (from the good seasons of course).
It's good not to forget to back stuff up too.
Di$ney has way too much power. It's their fault that copyright terms have become so ridiculously long in the USA. They didn't want "Steamboat Willie" to enter public domain, so they lobbied.
A lot of the reason why the animation went downhill was because Matt took offence to how the earlier seasons were animated. Lord knows how much he was happy when the switch to HD happened and everything became super stiff.I decided the watch The Cartridge Family on Disney+ after all the hubbub. I always thought the complaints about the FXX zoom were overblown*, but now I realized that's because I was only watching episodes from the first eight seasons. In season 9 the animation quality of the show took a dive (this is mostly noticeable in wide shots), and the lesser animation of 9th season combined with the FXX zoom made certain scenes nigh unwatchable.
That said, the episode was still hilarious. I give season 9 a lot of shit for being the first post-Golden Age season of The Simpsons, but season 9 episodes still have more wit and life than anything produced in the 20 years since it aired.
*I always balanced the zoom against the heavy interlacing of the DVDs. Ideally, I just want a clean copy of the original episodes.
I remember a critic called the CG animation "military precision."super stiff
I actually like Homer vs. Dignity as well. I was genuinely surprised to learn people outright hated it, since I thought it was funny.Color me surprised, they're considered the worst of the lot. That said, Homer vs. Dignity does have some laughs going for it. Can't really say the same for Boys.
This is how digital distribution ruins us.I had to dig back through my Mircosoft account to find my WWE 2k17 DLC and my WWE 2k16 is completely gone. Used to be a big fan of digital content until that. Never mind the purchases on Google Play that have just disappeared.
It's a shame Matt feels that way about those earlier seasons, those were the best since the producers weren't breathing down their backs to get it "perfect".A lot of the reason why the animation went downhill was because Matt took offence to how the earlier seasons were animated. And that's definitely how it comes off as. Even when they do break the models for smears and fluider-than-usual animations they still have this aura of "perfectionism" to them.I remember a critic called the CG animation "military precision."
I just did, and implications of panda rape aside, I had a few decent laughs. Like Homer eating Spider-Man #1 or Smithers' Malibu Stacy play.I actually like Homer vs. Dignity as well. I was genuinely surprised to learn people outright hated it, since I thought it was funny.
How does Di$ney evade laws against monopolies?SimpsonsWorld is gone now:
That's how computers work: digital variables are precise. Back when the Simpsons were drawn by hand, human error -- however slight -- gave the non-digital animation the "fluidity" it had.they still have this aura of "perfectionism" to them.
