Is the Sea Captain still in the show?
What's he like now?
He doesn't do much. He barely appears. If lucky, 2 minor appearances per season, probably one of them will be voiceless.

I should have paid more attention to the episode. I just kind of listened to it as I did other things. I could tell the show was going to be crap just by the episode summary. But Scientologists have been known to sneak Scientology themes into their scripts and I should have been paying attention to look for it.
I didn't see anything, and if they were there, they were either subtle or drowned out by the show's modern day incompetence.I should have paid more attention to the episode. Hollywood people are the craziest people. The episode didn't have anything really telling signs.
Also, it amazes me that Nancy Cartwright plays the most rebellious troublemaking character in the show, yet she conforms to such an idiotic cult as scientology. Crazy how people can be.
For God's sake, she's 8 years old. There's no reason this should be a thing.
It's almost as if it's as pointless as the last 20 seasons. Why are they constantly trying to use Lisa as a pandering device again? For God's sake, she's 8 years old. There's no reason this should be a thing.
Plus it kinda contradicts all those "in the future" episodes where she exclusively dates men.
I used to like Lisa in the classic seasons and the Scully Era as well, but Al Jean ruined her character and she's my least favorite of the characters in the newer seasons.
There seems to be this new trend of the show blatantly retreading old ground. We saw this with the Kamp Krusty sequel and to a lesser extent that Shining parody. Which is just fucking lazy, but this show has been out of ideas for literal decades.A shitty sequel to A Streetcar Named Marge
Also, anyone else digging the death metal Ned Flanderses?
It's already been established in that shitty future episode, Holidays of Future Passed, that Lisa ends up dating some chicks in college before settling down with Milhouse. That poly shit just makes things even worse though.
