That because the Right Honourable Goodhair does politics differently from the Bad Orange Man. He wouldn't and doesn't break major electoral promises, keep helping odious regimes with their odious wars, take vacations on the private islands of rich people, smear the reputation of a judge to help control a scandal, and most of all, he would never pressure the Attorney-General into not prosecuting a political important corporation for corruption and continue to try and cover it all up in the most asinine and ham-fisted way possible. He's not the spoiled spawn of the rich grandfather and father; he's a deep thinker and honest dealer. This coming Sunday, the Simpsons will be going to Canada... again (for, what, the third time now?) and Lucas Meyers of Toronto's CFRB News Talk 1010 AM will be voicing Justin Trudeau.
I guess it'll be another "Prime Minister Drama Teacher good/Orange man bad" gag like the ending of that "Peter Griffin goes to the White House" episode of Family Guy.
From the episode set at the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics, I liked the gag with Bart Simpson creating a mascot for the then-upcoming Sochi 2014 Winter Olympics by cutting a picture of Homer in half, turning the bottom half of his face upside down, adding eyes, and naming him "Fatov". I don't remember much else from that episode.
What was the first one? I think either Bart or Lisa was in love with the child of an actor who shot movies in Toronto or something like that? I remember "Paramountie Studios" and not much else either.
I recall Disney and Fox being able to play nice enough together for Alien to be in the Great Movie Ride. What creeps me out about the fox/Disney thing. I thought for about 20 years ago they were kinda own by each other when Fox family cable station was bought by Disney. I also a survey a few years back on the Disney website they said something about The Simpsons before they even did the merge.
Nah that's the second.I'm not sure but the first one was when Homer and his dad along with Apu and Flanders smuggled drugs from Canada.

Nah that's the second.
Though if we're being honest, all travel episodes of the Simpsons range from medeocre to outright shit. Even Crepes of Wrath was one of the weaker episodes of Season 1

I still crack up every time Homer walks through a door.Battling Seizure robots was a good gag.
I honestly love the bit where Homer just joins in the first time. For all its faults, the first half of Scully's run still had some decent timing at points when it came to jokes.Battling Seizure robots was a good gag.
It was okay I guess. It was kind of tasteless making fun of a real incident, but it did give me a cheap laugh.Battling Seizure robots was a good gag.
Say what you will about the older Simpsons travel episodes, but at least they had actual teeth. They were more than willing to poke fun at the country involved. This is just more proof the Simpsons has not just lost its edge, it's so dulled it's become little more than a political bludgeon.Tonight's travel episode sucked ass. Almost all of them do, but this one sucked a lot of ass.
Major moments of pointing out:
- It's one of those plots where once Lisa ends up in Canada accidentally through falling down Niagra Falls and then getting "free healthcare", with it evolving to her never wanting to leave and apparently she can't leave because you are accepted in, you can't go out.
- Mostly a Canada dick-sucking session. They try to lure in people with the "free healthcare" hoax despite the fact that considering there is, the demand is way more than the supply.
- The episode is about Lisa getting suckered into going to live in Canada because she hates Drumpf and environmental shit. In fact, there's a joke of Lisa trying to prevent herself from cussing about Drumpf.
- A joke includes Lisa saying to her new Canadian teacher that she wants Canada to send a sorry note about Drumpf "insulting" Canada.
- Lisa is only merely suckered in to go back to America through the cultural aspects and really nothing else.
- The only good joke is Marge trying to find cars to go to Canada to get Lisa and sneak in, and all the license plates are past production numbers and she's trying to find the correct production number for the episode. Clever meta joke.

A much better way of Lisa getting suckered back into America would have involved Canada's higher tax rate, which is how they pay for their "free healthcare." Fuck's sake, the older episodes made fun of healthcare. But we can't have that since it's a perennial liberal talking point and speaking ill of it is verboten.
This just makes me mad. The Simpsons always leaned left, but at least it didn't suck its own dick during the good years; at least back then it had self awareness.
If Simpsons Conservative Johnny "59" Swartzwelder was there, he wouldn't have let this shit fly. Even if he wanted to be a recluse.
