It's the episode that infuriated me as a kid because Homer & Marge should have gotten Bart out of the Tard class and hired him a tutor, Lisa just needed allergy medicine, and Marge should have taken a second job. Yes it's necessary at the end that they go back to Springfield and it's funny that Homer leaves this dream job because of the family's easily solvable problems. But it still annoyed me back then.

Probably is one of the weaker episodes of the classic run, I think Albert Brooks amazing voice acting just elevates Scorpio.
This is still one of the best jokes.

He left his dream job where he was respected and both him and his boss come to a mutual agreement that the happiness of his family matters more than their professional goals. All the while guns and bombs are going off around them, the US army is trying to arrest Scorpio, and Hanks last words to Homer are "If you want to kill someone on your way out it would help me a lot", before going Kill it with Fire on the troops.

so is there a particular lineage of who did the more traditionally cartoon-ish style of the start Nightmare On Evergreen Terrace?
the backgrounds in particular stand out like the very early gradient backgrounds
I can easily see either "it's actually by Fred Someguy, forgotten genius of USA animation who was willing to work for booze" or "we whipped the south Korean animators harder until they did it different"

Marge is still my favourite character. Despite being the 'straight man', she had some of the funniest lines.

I'm honestly surprised the Tumblr fan spergs never tried to do any "autistic headcanons" with Marge based on that one scene alone

Hank Scorpio is the reason why "You Only Move Twice" is one of my all-time favorite Simpsons episodes.
