It's so uncanny to go back and re-watch season 2 here in 2022. The Simpsons have become the ultimate time capsule. Arcades in malls, cartridge based video games, vhs tapes and cathode ray tube TVs. Cable TV being a hot commodity where as now most communication companies use "cut the cord" as a marketing technique.


Really does send you back to a different, yet still oddly familiar enough world.
 
Millennials are now finally understanding what it was like for their parents to see humor they don't understand or find funny infect all their favorite mediums. Kids these days, they don't know humor like me!

Add me to the "Graggle is a guerrilla marketing technique" bandwagon.

I'm sorry, but this just looks too well-drawn for the purposes of a practical joke. Whoever made this even took the time to animate the fucking thing's hand. I think Disney are using the remains of the IP to fuck around and get a few dollars more, and will be introducing this phantom character to draw in the elusive zoomer market.

Never underestimate the work someone will put into a dumb joke, hell i think they even reused the same drawing twice.
 
I'm probably the only person who likes the Gumbly/Graggle meme for its origins. I love Baseball Lad!

The Graggle shit was already painful enough but then people started to "find" """lost characters""". I even remember this moron I used to be subbed to that made two very fucking lame videos unironically dubbing them "disturbing". By the way, if you know the guy I'm talking about is painful how much of a trend chaser he has become.

ffs it was pure fail when they tried to cash in on the ''homer in the bushes'' meme, what makes them think graggle will work?

does all jean and the few old farts still working on the show see things like graggle or baby shark and say ''hey this thing is popular with the kids! Lets put it in our show that takes sim months to make! howdy do fellow kids!''
