They have litterally no leverage on them because their's nothing you can realistically do to negatively affect their lives. You think the lesson about the nature of power and actual privalidge would sink in after a while.
 
Plus Shatner, for as big of a dick as he is, has actually made progressive contributions to the world since he was a player in the first interracial kiss scene on TV (which was probably one of the most groundbreaking moments in the history of television). He also witnessed the civil Rights movement first hand so while he's rich beyond imagination and might not have experienced it personally he's seen what actual oppression looks like (and probably did see some of the racist backlash against Star Trek).

I did think Mary Sue writers were at least paid for articles though, just that they aren't on a salary or anything (with their sugar daddy being one of the few people who is).

If you subscribe to a worldview that sees guns as awful, loathes the military complex, and associates nationalism as a gateway to Nazism you should never be allowed near a property that's all about nationalism, the military and guns. Especially when you're openly atagonistic about that to the fans. That's not neo-Nazi propaganda. That's common sense. Might as well ask Mike Pence for Will & Grace episode ideas.
 
At least 100 years ago the provisional armed wymins faction of MRAdom, The Honeybadgers, got thrown out of an exposition for being goobergrabers, which was covered in detail by the Mary Sue.

They are suing the Mary Sue because they are not goobergrabbers but unhinged women MRAs.

Oh, so they're taking all the characters from comics that fans hated and/or the actual shops reported pitifully low sales for (seriously who the fuck even cares about Quake or Exile, or even knows who they are), and shoving them all into one animated show in what seems to be a desperate attempt on Marvel Entertainment's part to force these characters into the main stream so they can turn around and declare "See? They are popular!"? And probably at the expense of the female/minority characters people actually want to see? Especially when the current Marvel shows already have an extremely poor track record of being soulless cash-grabs lazily thrown together for nothing more than to sell cheap merch?

Gee, I wonder why people are annoyed, must be those damn goobergater misoginerds.

Edit: After taking a peek at the video TMS mentioned, the most noticeable aspect of this supposed preview to the show is that they never once mention what the story is about. They cast a main villain, so supposedly there's a plot but, but instead of giving that the spotlight they just blather on for 3 minutes that "you'll be able to see yourself in these heroes" which is common code for the tired "mug representation" crying that TMS commonly pulls. Hell, only 3 of the main actors are given a chance to talk about their roles, with none of their voice acting on display.

So yeah, this looks like it's gonna be a highlight of all the worst parts of the current Marvel comics in animated form. Can't wait to see the salt when it inevitably gets cancelled.
