I am very suspicious of them paying anything for these clowns, but if they do, both the site and the writers are scraping the bottom of the barrel as far as opportunities go.

TMS quality is just flabbergastingly bad even by the low standards of clickbait SJW outlets.

Jezebel, to pick a comparison, always had at least some good writers, and before going full SJW was often readable. It's still better than TMS.
At least Jezebel also seems to have a sense of humour at times- whereas sites like TheMarySue and Everyday Feminism are the highlights of everything wrong with the Social Justice buzzword

Except The Nightmare Before Christmas wasn't about "cultural appropriation."

There was no rule that Jack and friends couldn't celebrate Christmas amongst themselves. The problem was that Jack wanted to become someone else, in this case Santa Clause.
If anything the film was more about being yourself than cultural appropriation.

Except it wasn't a problem because a skelly would be a way better Santa Claus than that fat cocksucker in a red suit!

Wow, this one is just sigh. This is just really self-flaglating (though the guys tend to be a lot worse). Everything is offensive, everyone is fragile, everything has to have every group, nothing can be just fun for its own sake, you must constantly think about the problematic things; white, straight, CIS able-bodied men are groan-worthy; and dedicate your life to it. This just can't be a fun mindset to live in, because you're constantly nitpicking everything and making sure everything fits a mindset (make sure to boo and hiss the right things.)

That was actually painful to read. The best thing I can say about it is that there was some relative sanity in the comments section. There was an Onion article a while back about a woman who had to take time off from being a feminist to enjoy a TV show. The saddest part is, even though it's on the Onion it could probably be mistaken for a serious article these days. *sigh*

What's truly lulzy is that at one point they had a picture of Turanga Leela as part of their site banner. Never mind the fact that anyone familiar with the show will tell you that Leela was clearly written as a satire of grrl power know-it-all characters.

Apparently, the trio from Final Fantasy X-2 and their impractical, ugly skimpy outfits are perfectly ok. The sexiness/skimpiness is not male gazey, but is fun and silly. (The berserker class is not problematic.) Yuna's default outfit which has cleavage and hoochie-cutter shorts is an expression of her character development. These are the people that will bitch about Vampirella and Powergirl, Matt Taylor's shirt and Frank Cho's Spider-Gwen cover.

It's because Final Fantasy is Japanese and you have to "respect their exotic culture", whereas Marvel characters are product of the Evil White AmeriKKKan Great Satan so it's okay to rag on them.

True, though they're stricter on females from shonen mangas and Japanese fighting games.

My theory is that they're only capable of being offended by Japanese material to the same degree it lacks either pretentiousness or sapphic overtones.
Or it's aimed more at men/boys than girls and claws come out.

These people will talk all day about how they want diversity in media and how we need more representation than "straight white guys", but the moment you have a piece of media that does show a bit of diversity- it's never good enough and they have to whine endlessly about all the things they think are wrong with it. It's a damned if you do, damned if you don't situation with these people.

It has to be EXACTLY their way and you might be able to pull it off. You have to cater to their whims in every single way.

Hah, reminds of my old Beta readers who used to get mad at me not portraying LGBT characters, only to get mad when I point out that one of the main characters in my fantasy novel is a lesbian- that's when they look for ways I'm not "portraying them PC enough".
You write fantasy novels?

May I see them?
