Actually when it comes to hispanic voters while Trump did better than Romney,he was still about typical for a republican candidate.Obama got over 2/3 of the hispanic vote but then again dems do well with minorities overall.Problem is hispanics tend to be oversimplified.There are differences between mexicans for example and cubans.The way Trump might be viewed among hispanics of California who largely tend to come from Mexico and or Central America might be different than hispanics of Florida who largely come from Cuba.In fact the main reason why Trump did somewhat better is probably because of the decline in the number of minority voters in 2016.Why that was the case is hard to say most likely a combination of voter apathy and the fact that if you're a democrat in California you might as well not vote.The odds of a republican winning California are close to nonexistent today Arnie only won because he ran as himself.He could have ran as an independent and they still would have elected him.

That must mean they're at odds with the Black Panthers and Malcolm X. Even Martin Luther King owned guns, and applied for an Alabama concealed carry permit once. It was turned down. Most Southern states had restrictive weapon carrying laws during Jim Crow, which relaxed in the 1980s and 1990s.

At least 30% of the US population has a gun. That's obviously going to include a lot of POC.

Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, and Mexico actually have higher support for same sex marriage than the US. Argentina is the highest in the whole Americas, more than Canada even.

The more backward countries like El Salvador and Venezuela are a different story, though.

Conservative Hispanic votes often come from conservative exiles from socialist regimes. This is most notable with Florida's Cuban exiles, and if Venezuela gets a similar exile community it will also be staunchly behind the GOP.
 
Left wing activistis are primarily located in the major cities.And they've come to associate guns with the high crime era of the 70-80's or with right wingers in the South.For them guns are a problem especially since they also fear right wingers who are armed.The left has a fear of right wingers with guns.You only need to look at the movie Bushwick that came out last year to get an idea about what the left fears.Yes its a movie but its made to appeal to a certain audience with a certain worldview.Just like Red Dawn was made to appeal to a certain audience.

Uh???Is that article written as a joke?Because they do realise that Harry Potter is not real?So paying tribute to a fictional event i think back in 1980 that would have been grounds for ending up commited to an asylum.

So the reason that Apu doesn't work is because there aren't that many good indian characters in movies/tv shows and people will assume Apu is representative of all indians?
Isn't Apu one of the few good characters in the Simpsons in the sense that he doesn't come across as someone you wouldn't want to meet in real life?And there is one logical problem with making Apu into a realistic character.It wouldn't work in the caricatured world of The Simpsons.
Although i have a feeling the main reason that actress is bothered by Apu is because she claims to have been the butt of jokes in high school because she wasn't like Apu.I think she took high school a bit too seriously and forgot that kids and teens will always look for ways to make fun of you.Or maybe she's just an attention whore who suddenly found an easy target.Because judging by her looks i somehow doubt teenage guys were that assholish to her unless teenage guys in the states treat good looking teenage girls badly by default.
One last thing 'Aliens only land in America?' i guess she never watched District 9.

I'm TBH having a hard time remembering any movie where aliens only land in the US from the last 50 years. Even Independence Day, which is iconic for its American setting, involved the aliens showing up all over the planet and cut to a ton of other places to show what was happening there. Which specific movies are generating this complaint, I wonder?
