I left a response that choosing who he has on his show based explicitly on the color of their skin is an odd way to combat racist attitudes, but it is what it is.

No reason to follow the guy if I no longer play the game, I suppose. Rudy suffices if I have the itch to hear about current going ons in the community.

Maybe we should just burn all the cards and rerelease all cards with no art whatsoever.
 
I wonder if people will start pestering WotC to ban his cards. Crusade set the precedent that variant artwork that doesn't reference "problematic" aspects of the card isn't good enough. Bradley's got several promo versions of shocklands, two MTGO duals, and some other past and present tournament staples, so banning his stuff would mess with a bunch of formats.

This actually makes me wonder. Do you think bad actors will use this cancel culture mindset to try to get old cards and reprints shoahed to make the meta favor them, or maybe to make certain necessary cards spike in value? There's a lot of money in the MTG economy and a lot of money to be made if you happen to own the next meta card.

I sincerely doubt Wizards is going to ban any more cards for being problematic. They might have chugged the Woke Koolaid, but even they know they screwed up by panic banning stuff. They only promised this was the first pass to try to keep the mob off their backs.
 
Maybe? A lot of the social media responses to that announcement were either people roasting them for engaging in an obvious distraction tactic (from the allegations in the racial discrimination in hiring post on reddit) or coming out with laundry lists of additional cards that needed to be banned for whatever reason.

If they haven't axed Disruptive Student yet, on the eve of the Teferi Core Set, they're not going to go for another round of bannings any time soon.

In my opinion there's no reason to follow the guy at all, even if you are currently playing. The only reason I could justify watching a video of his anymore is maybe watching one about which card sleeves or which card binder to buy, since those videos are pretty well done. Aside from that, the Prof can go die in a fire as far as I'm concerned. He made his own bed. Let him enjoy being eaten alive for everything imaginable now that the racial Pandora's box has been opened.

The professor is a cuck, but at least he can be genuinely informative in his reviews and is nowhere near as infuriating as Pleasant Kenobi. Fuck I hate that asshole.

He's paid to shill shit dude, look at how hard he pushed fucking Eclipse sleeves, which are fucking awful and become dirty messes after a handfull of uses. He'll almost always push Ultra Pro stuff harder or be more gentle on them from what I saw.

I guess I haven't watched any of his videos in a long time. The last ones were telling me to buy Dragon Shield sleeves, which have served me well. I don't doubt he shills garbage stuff now though, that greedy bitch. Kinda pisses me off because in his early stuff he always shat on Ultra Pro, and they definitely were terrible. I stopped watching him when he put out that long video lying about Quarterpounder and his evil deeds. I've never liked Jeremy much but I felt bad for him when he got banned, he didn't deserve that shit imo.

Yeah Jeremy is a idiot but the banning of him and Travis Woo/people in Magic4Bad was ridiculous. The minute the troons started showing up in force I knew the game was in trouble.
