So they want to bully out one of the most prominent female MTG artists (who is also a married lesbian btw) because... she followed some accounts and liked some tweets? All this whining about how they have to associate her art with the alt-right now is totally inane since they're the ones who dragged it up and are now spreading it around. She didn't try to use her platform to promote any of these things and if they didn't bring this up nobody would know about it, it's a manufactured problem.

What’s happening right now is an amazing example of what’s known as exclusive inclusivity. Yes you’re right she’s a married lesbian but she’s a married lesbian with the wrong opinion and thought process therefore she must be cast out for the greater good.

Now I'm fascinated. Terese responded to the allegations with this long fucking message on Twitter.

The response from the Magic community is about what you'd expect.

donate a greater amount to groups dedicated to fighting hate, such as the SPLC
fighting hate
the SPLC

:story:

So based on rumors, A.E. figures it's okay to shake her down for 'donations' to a cause he/she considers 'worthy'?

? Atone for your sins by giving money to the SPLC.

Please Trump, get going with this whole "fascist America" thing. There's a lot of dumb faggots who desperately need to go "camping".

Drama aside, force of will seems like a shit card. Who really benefits from exiles enough for this to work? It's not splashable at all, unlike counterspell.
Ebonics Tutor hit the nail on the head with Legacy. It's also something of a help in EDH, but when it's a turn-whenever Ulamog or any form of mass wipe.

It's for when you're going to lose otherwise or to keep you from losing when you're getting ready to win if you're not trolling. (Poe's Law in full effect here considering things I've seen on the Magic the Gathering Rocks My World and a Commander FB group)

In legacy it's a godsend when otherwise you might be staring down turn 2 Emrakul Aeons Torn or Griselbrand.

I'm an idiot, and missed that you don't pay the mana cost if you exile.

Has there been any autism sighted regarding the planeswalker cards receiving alternate Japanese art?

It's the only thing you can defend yourself with in the unlikely scenario of playing in Legacy & your opponent plays first with some retarded 1-turn kill combo. It was designed with "lotus/channel/fireball" retards in mind way back in Alliances I think(you let them pay the life for Channel, but FoW-counter the Fireball), but it has remained relevant because you can counter when you seem to be tapped out & it's a strong bluff.
I'm personally fond of the landless Laboratory Maniac deck and occasionally style on kids with it.

From what I can tell, its mostly people just salty as fuck over not being able to get their hands on them. Even the dweebs at reddit are drooling over them despite their constant bitching about anime playmats.

I'd almost be tempted to buy Magic cards again if I could get some of these guys.

Amano's art is always sweet. Never thought it could fit even MTG cards.

There's always the option of buying them as singles, which I plan to do- I am NOT chasing for Teyo and Jiang any more than I'd like to.
Otherwise, I guess Japanese packs are becoming a bit more common for War of the Spark, and promo packs for Core Set 2020 has a 1-in-4 chance of coming with one.

Isn't the alt japanese artwork supposed to drive sales in Japan?

Magic has like 8 games to compete against in Japan, plus mobile gacha games.

So. Owen turtenwald has taken down all his social media posts. Announcement incoming re his participation in the MC this weekend?

I like that the anime Liliana is less embarrassing than Steve Argyle’s version.

I'd say he was advised to do so by an attorney. Autumn just got a spot on the 30ish play by Wizards players after he disappeared. Owen was under contract with Wizards to be play for streaming and I'd say he's suing for lost wages or something similar

It's hard to get any info. The Magic subreddit is a terrible place that has locked down and autodeletes any post with Owen's name in it, to the point where the post saying Autumn was brought in made people think they were just some magical 33rd person they added. My guess though is he is definitely lawyering up, and is probably going after either Wizards or the woman who was making the vague twitter posts. Mary was her name, I think.
