I haven't played MtG in a few years, but I remember using TappedOut to organize my decks for flexing purposes.
I'd get curious and start browsing profiles (something I have come to regret on many sites I frequent at this point) and a certain profile really, really stuck out to me with how obnoxiously they customized it as well as the position they held on the site.

People who use TappedOut frequently are probably familiar with this fellow anyway, but I didn't see anyone bring Femme_Fatale up.
Sure these kind of people in the community are a time a dozen but this one has a special place in my kokoro for giving me an aneurysm over "Male to Hermaphodite". Also I played with someone who simped for him lol the dark years
 
Took a break around Eldritch Moon and came back and holy fuck do they have a checklist on inclusion and diversity that they just check off on each set?

Every set needs a minimum of 40 lesbians, none of the characters are attractive, even the males, the art sucks and looks like stuff from a children’s book. I notice they keep going back to Innistrad because that’s the only plane people actually like.

We have Cyber Punk Kamigawa coming up and I’m sure we’re going to have like 900 lesbians with pink and purple undercuts in it. Probably some shit about asexual androids or something. And even though we’re on a Japanese inspired plane, half the population is gong to be black woman scientists.

If you dropped back into magic after all of the competitive play reorganizing, power level problems, shameless cash grabbing and broken online product offerings since 2016, and your first thought was "omg too many nigger trannies", you have brain worms

Sure black vikangz is stupid, but holy fuck does this game have bigger problems right now

I doubt we'll ever know for sure but lately it really feels like the smaller issue is used to cover up the bigger issues.

i.e.
"Boy these card designs suck."
"Why do you hate women?"

And not just in magic.

Well the buy a box promo is at least by the Metal Gear artist and FotNS guy has an alt art in the set.... the guest artists are like the only thing they have really done right as of late.

Wait… Magic actually did black Vikings?

I’m doing just limited and it’s OK but drafting is really bomb heavy. I remember it was kind of like this in Magic Origins.

Unrelated to general faggotry, it looks like MTGO is actually cheaper to play than drafting on Arena. A lot of it seems to be tied to opening Chandra or Sorin, but still.

Oh and how did Alchemy become a thing?

The WotS Walkers was the warning shot, Oko was the impact from letting troons into the company so heavy.

For real +1 on the turn shit into a 3/3 elk? PLUS FUCKING 1! and the "Oh we didn't realize players would use it on their own stuff"

Mox Opal was on the chopping block a long time in Modern and Oko comes along and just shoved it in the grave. It's not like Affinity or Hardened scales were super top tier, they were good but not absurdly so at that point. Little bit of artifact hate shut that shit down real fuckin fast.

Then this nigga Oko rolls up and stars turning all the dead opals, baubles, and welding jars into goddamn 3/3's turning every whirza match into a slow grind of running 3/3's into 3/3's unless somebody got thopter sword combo going on which most the decks eventually removed cause it was just easier to grind people out.

Opal would have gotten the axe due to Urza eventually.

Modern Horizons have been a massive mistake.
 
Magic has gotten so fucking bad that I literally went back to Yugioh and learned how to Pendulum Summon. The absolute state of things when I, someone who hated Yugioh for years due to how joyless and dull the competitive scene was, am forced to fall back on it because MTG players are just that much more unpleasant to be around. I remember the last MTG tournament I ever played, there was some asshole with a really shitty burn deck who flipped his shit at me because I was out-healing his burn even while perpetually mana fucked. Long story short I saw just how little fun he was having and it made me realize just how many players I’ve met that are just like him. I play MTG to have fun. If you aren’t in it to have fun then I don’t want anything to do with you. Being competitive is fine and all, I love being competitive in MTG but for God’s sake chill the fuck out.

I played YuGiOh since the day it debuted in the US, but I still for the life of me do not understand pendulum and Link summons
