I'm in, gotta prove to that faggot in the programming thread I'm truly hopeless.

Very excited for this! One of my New Year's resolutions was to start posting more art here while also keeping good OPSEC in mind, I already have a sketchbook set aside as my designated KF art repository.

My art skills aren't good but I will try to give this a go.

Here's a powershell script that I put together with some chatgpt help, for example. Includes modifying the creation and modification date that the file system uses because I was concerned about that.

Created/modified timestamps are bits of metadata on your disk and not transferred in regular uploads. There might be a way to pull timestamps with a JS uploader like XenForo's, but I doubt they bother. If it is a concern for you I suggest only browsing KF with TorBrowser or Mullvad because they take steps to prevent that kind of leak. After all, JS uploaders could be snatching your timezone setting or other identifying breadcrumbs.

Also stop being a Big Gay and l2c for real.

This is such a great idea!!

May I suggest as a challenge for Kiwis to create a piece using multiple tones of one color only?

This sounds like a great idea! I'd suggest showing an example in case somebody doesn't understand the prompt.

As a dabbler in the kiwi arts, and someone that has a horrible time making time to draw, this sounds like a fun challenge. Can’t wait to see this kick off.

Ahhh this is so great! I used to draw all the time as a kid and young adult. Hoping to start up again, I bought paper, pencils in various hardness, a set of Prismacolors, and a pack of alcohol markers. They've been languishing on the shelf.

Looking forward to seeing fellow Farmers' creations and getting inspired, fantastic idea thanks!

That one seems interesting. As far as technical challenges go, I suggest making a simple piece and trying different styles, methods and techniques for shading.

A group DM was created after it was suggested in the Secret Santa thread - I did suggest different challenges using only certain colors or palettes. I'd really like to try those kinds of challenges as I've seen them back in my early days of posting art online.

There are quite a few accounts in sites like Instagram that post iconic film scenes with the color palette below, like this one. It might be cool to pair a palette challenge with a draw-this-in-your-style challenge where you have to recreate the scene in whatever medium you want, sticking to the palette provided (or just draw whatever but stick to the palette).

Some examples:

YES, exactly like this! This is exactly what I meant. :) I think you can learn a lot about the use of color saturation and tone. I'm pretty sure there are websites and/or tools where you can sort of roll the dice and it generates a color palette for you - I think this would be a fun challenge for sure. Personally, I'm an autist full stop, I'm an autist. who likes Pokemon, so you might see some of that from me in the challenges. I would really like to use the opportunity to practice backgrounds.

I also love a "Draw this in your style" challenge, those are so fun to do when you have a good community to do it with. I kind of wouldn't mind a thread centered around making any form of art about Pokemon but I doubt there's enough interest to warrant a thread for that and there'd be no point if it was just me posting my own shit.

There are plenty of apps that do that (and better). Just use one of those apps and a site like film-grab.com to get your pallet. Plus using the apps you can use it for whatever image you want.

I love them because sometime the hardest part is deciding what you want to draw, so getting a prompt gets over that hurdle. Another reason why I'm looking forward to getting started with this.
