I have no artistic creative capability and haven't drawn anything (other than a few KF secret santas) in like 15 years, and back then I was terrible.

I'll join as I have a tablet and a pen, and it could be fun to laugh at the stark contrast in ability.
 
I've been wanting to get back into doing art on a somewhat regular basis and I always find it easier when I have a prompt of some sort, so I'm looking forward to this.

I recommend Procreate for anyone doing digital on a tablet. I think it's about $10 to buy and, while it's not as feature-complete as Photoshop, it's also not a shitty subscription service like PS.
 
This is cute! I have some moderate art training, but burnout has been a monster for the last few years and my skill has definitely withered. This could be a fun way to ease back into it. :heart-full:

For those looking for ultra-cheap digital tablets, I can also vouch for Huion. I was doubtful for a while of their reputation as the cheaper Chinese competitor in the tablet market, but I took the plunge a few years ago and bought a Huion Kamvas for about a quarter of the price of a similarly spec'd Wacom Cintiq. The multiple Wacom tablets I had owned/borrowed beforehand ate through pen nib replacements like crazy, while I haven't had to change the nib of my Huion pen once. My experience with their customer support has also been far more positive.

@Jimmy Dean Bowl was kind enough to make a post there. If there's a decent turn out for the challenges, every other month might be better. I dont want people to get annoyed at how frequent they see the posts in the CH.

Purely spit-balling, I'm aware that Geckogoy's calls for SS13 play-dates are posted an hour or so before the scheduled time-slot and deleted once the day's passed if that gives you any ideas.
Maybe compilling that month's of work into a collage and posting it alongside the technical/creative prompts for the month alongside an appeal to having fun would be nice enough to snowball participation.
Either way, I like this as an excuse to draw. I'm committed.
 
Late to the KKK party, dang timezones, but I am looking forward to participating. This site gets so wholesome sometimes, just a bunch of people making fun art projects together.
 
Ooh sounds fun, I'd like to sign up! I've been playing with the idea of getting more into drawing for my new years resolution and this challenge might be the push that I need to keep at it.
 
Things like this are why I finally bit the bullet and made an account. I would love to participate, it's been forever since I've drawn anything. I'm excited to see some new art from my fellow kiwis.
