That was Daniella she was rejected by the troop, one of the males eventually killed her. DeeDee was a juvenile kidnapper that refused to let her go because they kept feeding her. they learn that having a baby gets them more food and she learned that they would feed her to get her to stop dragging the baby. it's not unusual for young high ranking females to take infants from low ranked mothers to practice or assert status, normally the mother will distract her by grooming to get the baby back or they young female gets annoyed and leaves the baby. Also because they fed DeeDee Daniella got food out of rank and that caused her rejection. females are matrilineal and status is assigned at birth and Daniella was very low ranking.
Correct. Daniella, AKA Damn Yeller. That particular instance was the easiest example of macaque cuntery to locate on YouTube, there's plenty of others. Standard weaning behaviour across the macaque species would see a human in jail for years

Don't get me wrong, I absolutely adore macaques and take the fight to those who do unspeakable evil to them. My user name comes from that, as you might recognise.
Now thread tax, the only thing dumber than an indian monkey is an Indian jeet.
In India, these monkeys are a major pest, but as usual their unga bunga religion won't let them cull them. So they hire jeets to trap them instead, and remove them from their slum villages, releasing them somewhere else in the wild:
Works OK, and the jeet gains izzat outsmarting a creature smarter than him. But here's the thing... jeets will be jeets will be jeets. They drive the trapped monkeys a mile up the road, then release them there, making them promise, saar, not to be going back to the village for easy curry and the rampant squirts from it, yis! They dump them a mile up the road, and a couple days later - "Saars, we are having the monkey problem again, yis! Please to be coming and doing the needful again!"
Jeets will be fckn jeets.
I'm pretty convinced the monkeys have cottoned on to this, so just go along with it for a free feed from the bait, and a day out at the currychomper's expense.
They're more human sometimes:
