Airplanes used to be more like this as well. With a bar, more space, expensive meals, etc. Plane tickets were price-controlled so the only way to get customers was by making the ride more luxurious. Planes just have business class (without as many features) for that, because 90% of the people prefer to suffer through economy class to save the money. Trains meanwhile don't have rich customers left to sell expensive mountain view seats to. I believe the orient express and trans siberian express still exist in some revived form, but those are as expensive as plane travel and at that point most people just pick the plane. The only non-plane cross-country travel that remains are the really cheap options like greyhound.

In the early days of flight and up to the earliest part of the jet era (Boeing 707s and Douglas DC-8s) planes still had to compete with rail travel and the level of comfort and luxury many rail lines still offered, so the planes had to be as comfortable and luxurious as they could. You even had some planes, like the Boeing Clipper flying boats, that had sleeper births and cocktail lounges. People would dress in their best with women wearing dresses and men wearing suits, or at the very least button up shirts and a tie, when they would travel because it was an event. Part of it was also the culture because we still had high standards and a belief in the social contract back then. Now you'll be lucky if the guy sitting next to you is actually wearing jeans, a t-shirt with the sleeves still attached, and actual socks and shoes. More often than not it's shorts or sweats, a tank top or sleeveless t-shirt, and fucking crocks. It is demoralizing how far we have slipped as a culture, with disgusting slobs everywhere you look. I would give almost anything to be able to take my family and live back in the early 20th century, like the 1930s to early 1960s.

I took a greyhound a few years back because the airport is an hour away whereas the place I was going was maybe four hours by road. Other than being surrounded by the dregs of society, it was a great experience and still better than being fondled by the TSA. Got to see a ton of the Ozarks.

I don't know if I'd recommend it if you're a woman considering the clientele, but if you're a young man then it's a crazy affordable way to just fucking go somewhere on a whim and take in the sights without needing to put miles on your vehicle or worry about parking.

White people only end up in Japan if they legitimately love the country. The pay cut you take is too excessive even with the overall cheaper CoL. Also even the creepiest white dude will usually keep his hands to himself whereas the average jeet will immediately start trying to cop a feel the second a woman enters his stink radius.

Don't get me wrong. Old White Sexpats are a thing... In poor SEA countries like Thailand or Cambodia. They can definitely be a problem over there since they contribute to prostitution (which is often tied to the local organized crime syndicate/cartel and fuels corruption) and also possibly even worse shit too like sex trafficking (where else do those "exotic" hookers come from?) and CSAM production.

But in Japan or any East Asian country like Korea or Taiwan? LOL!

The average White expat in Japan is usually a liberal-minded English teacher who makes shit pay and is generally harmless enough aside from his lib-brain causing him to vote for liberal candidates (I believe they can still engage in Japanese elections?) but then again LDP loves 'jeets so its not like a single White guy voting for the tiny opposition liberal party would really matter much.

Git is software that tracks changes to a software repo, basically the lines of code. YES git actually has a blame feature built in. This started about 10 years ago, when mass amounts of curries came to the USA.

Reason why git has a blame feature is if you're working with a dipshit company that won't listen to you and curries keep fucking it up, maybe (keyword on the maybe), they will listen to the software itself. The solution before git blame was to just call out someone if they fucked something up but if you have HRtards looming over you with curries, you can't do that without being called RAYCIST so they invented git blame.

As much as I disagree with the use of AI on most things, I can admit that I will thank it for getting rid of jeets when its ability to code becomes more refined.

This theme is off topic - Precisely. The point I wanted to make is that perhaps in some form ignorance, we see Japan through some exterior and we see a beautiful house. Yet, peering inside, we see horrid, decrepid and even rotten foundations, that the country isn't as safe as we thought. I wager that if Western Countries were as homogenous as Japan (Say, if Ireland and Iceland were, for example), they would be way safer.

As for airplanes, so I heard! It's really a shame.

A Jeet peddling bullshit as per usually. The majority of agricultural labourers in Italy are Italian, and only 1/3 are from outside the EU. If you go onto dairy farms, you may see jeets tending cattle but cheese production is still done by families and passed down from father to son. I remember a few years back a farmer from a village near my family's got in trouble after it was revealed he had 5 jeets slaves and shot one of them and fed the corpse to his pigs because they got too uppity.
