There's plenty of genetic overlap in the Mediterranean, Ahmed from Casablanca is probably a cousin of Juan from Cadiz several times removed because of the Muslim rule over Iberia, same can be said to a lesser extent about Southern Italy and Sicily specifically. Geography is a big point like you said, disregarding the geopolitical circumstances that led to the discovery of the New World, there's a reason it was the Spaniards and Portugese who had the tip of Europe all to themselves whilst being protected by the Pyrnnes that made the first leap into the new world and not the Morrocans who were busy trying to unite the Atlas mountains whilst fighting off Berbers and competing Emirs in Algeria.
 
The whole thing about the Indian truck driver makes me so MATI on a personal level. I don’t want to just repeat what everyone else in this thread has already said, but I do want to share a story about a very similar encounter I had. For obvious reasons, I’ll keep the specifics a little vague.

About a year ago, I was driving around a more rural part of town with two friends to run some errands. At one point, we were stopped at a red light for about 20 seconds when a semi (going at least 20 MPH over the speed limit) came barreling down the road behind us and slammed into the back of our car. The impact was so hard that my car spun around, went on two wheels briefly, and almost flipped. Before any of us could even process what the fuck just happened, the truck kept going down the road like nothing occurred. The accident photos of my car's damage were gruesome, and they're still pretty hard to look at even a year later. It’s honestly nothing short of a miracle that none of us were seriously injured.

Naturally, we got the police involved, and a day or two later, they were able to track the semi back to a local trucking company. From there, they got the driver’s information (he was a Pajeet, imagine my shock), and I filed everything with my insurance. Two days after that, I got a call from the police saying the truck driver had tried to press charges against me for supposedly “obstructing his ability to do his job.” And as it turned out, he also had an illegally obtained commercial trucking license, and the trucking company was 100% aware of this (due to the owner also being a Pajeet).

Thankfully, the story has a good ending. The cops took my side on the whole shitshow and helped walk me through how to dismiss the whole thing so there'd be no marks on my record. They basically laughed in the Pajeet's face for trying something so monumentally stupid, and they passed all the information along to my insurance company. I had my car fully replaced, the trucking company underwent a massive restructuring (code for "firing every single Pajeet who worked there"), and now I'm posting about it on the Farms a year later.

Anyways, I'm just now realizing there's probably a parallel universe where I was killed by that Pajeet trucker and half of India would be posthumously calling me a pedophile for the terrible crime of... stopping my car at a red light at an intersection. I'm glad I don't live in that timeline.

How infected is Blackrock with the Jeet menace? Because I bet if the Jeet infection goes critical on that particular globohomo property, their efforts to pozz culture and force the West into becoming USSR 2.0 will go down in flames.

Very :optimistic: but unfeasible. Trying to imprint civil values onto a people and foster a high trust society is something that requires either a concerted effort over a generation or two targeting the youth by a centralized state (Either through public initiative or implanting said values into the educational curriculum), but with a huge bureaucracy like India that's not happening, or a coordinated mass movement of concerned citizens, but they're a drop in the bucket in a country as big as India.

Vehicular homicide is gross negligence or recklessness that results in the death of other people. Vehicular manslaughter is when somebody causes the death of other people through (non-gross) negligence. Really the only argument they can make is that cutting across two highway lanes of traffic to make an illegal u-turn without even checking for other drivers isn’t that negligent (it’s incredibly negligent) and it’s not that reckless (when blindly cutting across a highway is obviously very reckless) so he should receive clemency (when he should be punished to the maximum possible degree). Furthermore, the trucking company, agency that licensed him, and the state of California should also be held liable for these deaths. Maybe we need to get rid of indians seeing as they obviously feel that killing three people is just something that happens on a daily commute.

If you possess a CDL you are held to a higher standard as you are a licensed professional. Manslaughter is possible if you stole a truck you didn't know how to drive and caused an accident.

Its negligent homicide precisely because he is a licensed professional. Whether not he should have received the CDL is another issue.

Even more than that, seeing the fucking khanda emblazoned on that other truck that did another illegal u-turn made me clench my teeth so hard I felt my jaw starting to lock up. What the shit is up with Sikhs in Amreeka and Kenneda, yaar? Have standards, let alone the societal fear of "log kya kahenge?" (TL: what will others say?) just immediately evaporate once the most idiotic and illiterate of Sikh society realised that they can coast by on liberal Western paternalism?!

Y'know, 20-30 years ago, it was a symbol of pride for a Desi man to have a CDL. In the days of Clinton, Bush, even Obama, you had to actually live life on the goddamn straight and narrow to be a livery driver, a truck driver, or anything else along those lines. Having a Class A CDL with all the endorsements, earned by actually learning English, learning how to drive a stick, along with the ins and the outs of the interstate highway system was basically the ultimate flex of "I ain't an educated man, but damn it, my kids need to eat!" You were a step above livery because now you're hauling precious cargo that must get from point A to point B. You could proudly say that you were part of the backbone that kept this great country you spent years getting acclimated toward, getting a green card, maybe even citizenship for afloat. Of course, all that shit's flushed down the fucking nonexistent toilet. No, it's rotting in the goddamn street-shitting gutter, apparently.

That these drivers were fucking uneducated, illiterate, fucking illegal alien Sikhs is just the biggest mark of shame upon a community that, until very recently, was actually respected. How the fuck haven't their family members immediately come out and disowned them?! Oh wait, I know why! It's because they don't wanna fucking snitch on how they were harbouring an illegal alien who literally should not have been on the road in the first goddamn place. It's because they don't wanna fucking snitch on how they gave into the temptation of bringing their fucking pendu family into America on a sponsorship they half-assed just to exploit them in a family-owned trucking business. Who knows? Maybe they pimped out one of their daughters and gave dowry money to Harjinder's family in a vain attempt for marriage sponsorship? His family won't fucking come forward to anathematise him; it's fair game to assume it's because they're doing the shady, illegal visa shenanigan, labour fraud bullshit that any sensible Desi community wouldn't have conceived of like 20-30 years ago.

The shaheeds of Sikhi didn't sit on hot plates, get boiled in oil, get beheaded, have their children bricked alive and ultimately beheaded, their widows dying of despair over the loss of their children, and compose the goddamn Zafarnama specifically for their hick descendants some 300-350 years later to bring shame unto the entire Khalsa for their gross negligence.
