I'd liken it to the different aspects all yelling at you to stop with greater and greater urgency as you continue to give any sort of attention to him, with Red checks throughout that grow increasingly difficult. Eventually (whether by breaking the spiral or getting caught up in it and taking massive morale damage), you realize the horrible truth; this person treats discussion much like an antlion does, waiting at the bottom of a hole for its prey.
 
I'd like to share a personal experience that opened my eyes to the level of scamming going on:

Back when I was down bad and wanted to impress my Korean gf by making more money, she sort of snuck me into a training program targeted towards immigrants. Being Korean, she was offered one of these courses designed to give you minimal training and then fake your way into a higher paying position (which I didn't realize at the time). She simply gave me the credentials to login to the online training. The instructor noticed my name wasn't on the list but he didn't give a shit as long as I did the work. Not to brag, but as the only white guy in a class consisting of all Asians and jeets, I was the most competent one at the end of the whole thing.

It was at this point that I found out the next step was to have the company create a fake resume and set up a job interview to take place over the phone, where someone else would pretend to be me, and I was expected to then waltz around the office of whoever hired me and proceed to pretend that I had 10+ years of experience (I wasn't even old enough for that to make sense), after only a month's worth of training. The deal was that they would take 2/3 of the huge salary and I would keep 1/3 for myself.

Fortunately we broke up before everything was finalized and I realized I didn't want to compromise my entire future if I wasn't doing it for her sake, so I fucked off back to being an honest hard working American.

These are called recruiter companies and it has gotten much much worse than you can possibly imagine. There are a billion shitty jeets doing this on Indeed and all major job boards, it is even worse because they do it without your permission. When you apply to a good sounding job and it mysteriously disappears, that job was bait to datamine your shit. 3 months later (they wait so you don't associate it to the fake job) you get some gay call from some third party company that shows you your "resume", it's times new roman 12 pt and missing like half the shit etc. Jeets use shitty recruiter software to do this. Also again none of the jeets doing this make money because all of them are doing it. And job recruiter sites change their algorithms every 2 months and the jeets find another way around it because there's so fucking many of them with nothing else to do and all the job boards do is fuck over legitimate companies with their algorithms on accident, as they are too corpo-fucked and have HR looking over their shoulder so they can't "just ban india".
