No, the issue is that most servers work at a reduced rate because they are expected tips to make up for it. If restaurants started to pay their staff regular rates then people would bitch about the increase prices. Don't eat out if you refuse to tip, as it's a practice that has worked for decades until we started importing the third world

Something I've noticed is that people coming from India to the US straight up have no concept of even trying to adapt in the slightest
Over the summer at my college, a lot of Indian intl. students came and I genuinely don't remember a single time where I saw one not wearing sandals without socks (this is a campus about a couple hundred miles from any waterfront). They also stank like shit too and were loud as fuck on (mostly empty) busses in their Hindi gossip
Maybe I'm culturally insensitive for being annoyed by these things but I think shoes and deodorant are kind of necessities if you're going to be in public places

I hate tipping, its an American thing. And worked when in the boomer era but these days its not viable. Some restaurants now take mandatory gratuity on checks and then have the ordasity to ask for a tip on top of it. And now counter serve places ask for tips.

Dowries haven't been a thing in the West for a while, but there is still sort of a dowry system because the bride's family is customarily meant to pay for the wedding (don't think anyone actually does that anymore, but it's a thing.)

This has been mentioned earlier in the thread but seriously what's up with their insistence on wearing sandals no matter the weather? It's not like they're Finnish lads from the north of the country so 10 degrees Celsius is pleasantly warm weather to them because they're used to much colder weather, they're from a hot humid shithole and it doesn't matter whether it's 0 degrees or 30 degrees Celsius, they always rock sandals. Are they so fucking stupid that they look up what the current weather is in whatever shithole poo village they crawled out from rather than the Western city they're currently shitting up?

Easy answer, they are the cheapest "shoes" to produce. You're basically looking at a straight block of material cut into a vague foot shape, plus a strand of string, so curries would be interested in the cheapest way.

"Talking about shoes and hope they mention sandals" or "thinking that a $20 pair of shitbox shoes are for rich people" added to the list.
