so a thought ive had, and ill bounce it off KF is this: if it werent for arranged marriages, would the entire continent be nothing but incels? they look terrible, smell terrible, have zero social skills, and treat women like absolute dirt. i cant imagine any woman ever marring an indian man unless her family forces her to.

In all honesty, the region does have a rich history and culture. The problem is that the people who created those things are not around anymore.

I would argue that arranged marriage as a custom is a form of violence. Putting pressure on your children to either marry a stranger or family friend they've never spent private time with is setting them up for all sorts of terrible possibilities.

Sanitation in ancient Rome, acquired from the Etruscans, was very advanced compared to other ancient cities and provided water supply and sanitation services to residents of Rome. Although there were many sewers, public latrines, baths and other sanitation infrastructure, disease was still rampant. The baths are known to symbolise the "great hygiene of Rome".

I thought the same. Turks arrange marriages at a high level also, and are pretty ugly/sometimes inbred because of it. Jeets have just been doing it for way longer so the effect has compounded further. In both societies its the mother that picks the spouse. The father cucks out behind pressure from the women on both sides and stays out of the process. He supports it publicly of course.

Eventually something will give and there will be a mass extinction event on that sub continent. This always happens in the animal kingdom when man provides a food source that is unnatural. Once that supply is cut, the population dies off. I do think some group from that region will become dominant, my bet is on the taller more caucasoid ones in the far north. Seriously, back when I was a teen I was very much into mythology, even wrote a paper in high school on the IE dragonslaying myth, and the earliest written example is Indra slaying Vrtra from the Rigveda. This of course made me fascinated with old Indian mythology and Hinduism... then I found out that Hinduism is basically a bastardized form of a bunch of Poojeet bullshit mixed in with the old stuff from the Vedas. Their birthrate is already dropping because of urbanization. What comes with urbanization is new liberal ideas that lead to a decline in the birthrates, marriages - it's just a fact of civilization. It went from around 3 in the 2000s to around 2 in 2021. The only Indians maintaining a high birthrate are Muslims. Pakistan also has a high birthrate because they're a very Muslim country and poor.
