Inspired by @Judge Holden's efforts and this:

As a twist on Pindia, I tried to find the nicest place in India.

I decided to find out what is India's richest neighborhood. Where do the ultra wealthy pajeets live? Surely even pajeets, when empowered by immense wealth, can manage a neighborhood that looks reasonably normal right?

A quick search reveals my target should be Altamount Road in Mumbai.



I think the most fair I can be is to type that into Google Earth and drop my pin right on the name.

For reference this is on India's West Coast, lets zoom in a bit further before the pin drop.


Looks like we're gonna be on the outer coast side of this peninsula in Mumbai.


It's definitely an urban setting, which isnt surprising. However urban wealth isn't a setting I'm as familiar with as Suburban/Rural wealth. The non-ghetto parts of cities all tend to look the same to me, but if it's clean and looks a bit upscale that would be noticeable.

Well I wouldnt call it a ghetto, but at best this looks like the old part of a middle class neighborhood in a US city. If you showed these pictures to someone without any context they would never guess its one of the richest neighborhoods in all of India.

If people like this I might give it another shot, suggesting wealthy neighborhoods would increase the chances of that happening. I was hoping to find something that could pass as a generic American Suburb, so if you're aware of a candidate with that kind of potential let me know.
