His dad has top secret polygraph clearance ? Neat! Yeah I feel kinda guilty prying into stuff not directly him but something to give us a clue or understanding to maybe have pieces start fitting together
Jay and his family are very indiscreet when it comes to giving things out online. I'm happy to post LinkedIn because the whole point of the site is to tell the Wild Web who you are and what you can do.

I do find Jay's anti-government mindset more interesting in light of his dad's job. It's also worth noting here (but I won't link to the source, sorry) that Jay's dad is also a firearms enthusiast.

This information about what his brother thinks about him might have been posted before....

Fascinating. I'm leaning back toward GK's brother having autism. Also, lol'd at "car-pulls".

The FB post that the GK brother did was written about 4 years ago.
Are we quite sure that these guys have autism? Because it doesn't seem like Jay used the "autism" card when he was at school.

But i dunno if am gonna be honest about it.

Wow...even his brother dislikes him. I mean, I understand the not wanting to drive thing. My friends and some of my family don't like to drive in the area I live in because there are aggressive drivers and it does get scary. It seems he just doesn't like to drive. Knowing his ego, he probably thinks he should just be driven everywhere like the awesome hero he is.

Which is rather ironic seeing as how most super heroes have their own vehicles for traveling.

I knew getting my hair cut would stir up a lot of comments but never did I think it would have garnered this much attention! Thanks everyone for commenting and "Liking" my picture lol! No, it is not Photoshopped in case any of you were wondering. It was just time for a new me. I hadn't gotten my hair cut in about 8 years. Only 3 people who either commented or "Liked" this picture knew me back when my hair was short! To be perfectly honest, this took place about a month ago. I just waited to post the picture because I loved getting the shock value out of so many people who had no idea I had done it but the secret is out now. : D

translation: I got tired of people confusing me for my sperg brother so I cut my hair.

His brother? No idea. Jay certainly seems to have autism but in a chat log someone posted he was asked if he was ever tested for it and GK said no. That seems kind of bizarre since it seems pretty apparent now so it should have been even more obvious when he was younger. That means his parents would have gone out of their way to not recognize it. That or he was diagnosed with autism at a young age and purposely haven't told him. They put quite a bit of effort to make sure GK and his brother were always together in school so they seem to be aware that he needs someone watching him or someone familiar around to make things easier to process.

This is going way out on a limb, but I'd venture that his mother is on the spectrum. A woman in her 60s who plays a Star Wars MMORPG, every day for an hour at a time. The repetition, the specificity, the fact that it's seemingly an enduring interest from years ago...

I know a guy my age who's been diagnosed with autism but his parents never told him since they didn't want him to feel like it changed things. Perhaps something similar happened with Jay.

Can a household have that much autism? GK's brother just seems like he just been more sheltered and just kind of awkward from that. Not only was he as sheltered as GK but imagine having to drag around Angry Mullet McGee everywhere for most of your childhood. Even if I thought he was fun I'm sure I'd hesitate to hang out with him in fear of him dragging his odd brother along. Kids don't have patience for that kind of stuff.

Is it a signed copy? I hope there is a bizarre author biography on the back cover with a picture of Jay.
I ordered signed copies. I apologize for the delay. I'm getting my apartment cleaned and it's taking longer than I anticipated because unlike Mr. GK, I don't have someone waiting on me hand and foot.

Yeah, I'm starting to wonder if that's the case. Then they decided to essentially make his brother be the anchor that would help him deal with any major changes. Rather than send him to classes or specialists that could teach him coping skills they decided to wing it. Now GK has some real problems and his brother may resent him for having to be a babysitter until his sentence was done.

IIRC researchers are investigating whether autism can be hereditary.

The bit in Barry's post where he doesn't understand why Jay can't just stop being a baby and like cars and car things struck me as the kind of inability to empathise which one might expect from someone with autism. There's also an obsession with small details in that post and in some of his YT videos which would also support him being autistic.

I suppose depending on how his parents (particularly his mother) are it could also be learned behaviour or simply ignorance. There's an overall petulance to the post which fits with the idea of a spoiled, sheltered young man.

If he'd have kept making videos like "Hey What" GK's brother might have been worthy of a thread in his own right. As it is, he seems to be doing well at selling cars, and looks to have pulled clear of lolcowdom.

I'd say that it shows there's hope for Golday yet, but really there isn't.

Okay its not just me and GK. Personally I dislike driving. Not sure why maybe its because I dont know how to get anywhere and sometimes you get careless people when the roads get slick in the winter. *shrugs* I know im going to need to face it one day

His brother seems to go into great detail when talking about anything car-related so it's possible he has autism. If he does then he may have found a way to channel it into something he's passionate about and could make a living off of which would be great if that's the case. Meanwhile GK is trying to get rich through something he's terrible at, doesn't care about, and barely has enough drive to maintain.

Hi all,

I'm sorry that this is a bit off-topic atm but I thought I'd bring it up.

I just discovered this thread a few days ago, but a friend of mine has been in contact with GK for a few years now, and I found him link to this place while talking to Lisa at one point.

This rabbit hole quickly got deep fast, and I tried my best to get in contact with Jay myself to no avail. I used my real profile to contact him, offering him connections to the publishing world I had to help better himself in the market. He turned me down and blocked me before I could get an honest word in edge-wise.

This wasn't a troll plan, perse, but I did have other intentions. I wanted to get as much information from him personally before contacting Gumroad and seeing if I could file copyright infringement for his painfully obvious plagiarism of TPG, maybe contacting the likes of Lauren Faust or someone else as well for that matter.

It's pretty clear that any contact with him that doesn't involve a flappy vagina bird or nettle jelly is pretty impossible, but I thought it could be an idea at the time.

First of all, hi.

Was all of the interaction on Jay's side limited to the comments section on his journal? Would you be able to post the notes you sent him, and any he sent back?

Due in part to the inglorious history of CWC and Sonichu, going to rights-holders to report copyright infringement by a lolcow is considered somewhat ween or tryhard. It's been done many times before, and I can't think of an example of it succeeding - because the lolcows invariably make no real money when compared to organised bootlegger gangs or fanartists with an actual following within a fandom.

The perception that this is something weens do goes doubly so for attempts to involve famous people like Lauren Faust.

In the long run, the likes of Jay are more entertaining if they continue to produce their terrible fanfiction.

Hey!

He actually didn't respond to either of my notes, which kinda surprised me due to his previous nativity, I thought I wrote up something pretty good. But I guess the amount of people weening would cause him to have added paranoia.

And alright. You'll have to forgive me, I'm new to the idea of lolcows, I only knew a bit about Chrischan before coming here. It was probably a stupid idea, but I thought that sort of thing would cause him to realize the something beyond just himself. Clearly a moot point.

I think you all are reading way to into this autism thing when it comes to GKs family. Yeah I think GK may have it but saying his mom/brother have it too is stretching it a little far imo, especially considering we really don't know much about them.

I think you all are right about his brother playing baby sitter though and I don't blame him for not liking driving around his brother, especially if it's because he refuses to drive out of laziness/entitlement. I can also see Barry trying to talk to Jay and jay being a dick about his car sperging because it's not something /he/ enjoys. Barry also sounded frustrated as fuck and having your self observed man child sibling in the car doesn't help the situation. I think one of you mentioned him having some car built in the 90's right? That's an old car and matenance might be a bitch so can't say I don't blame him for being worried/frustrated either.

And to the one guy who purchased the 16 page train wreck (can't quote I'm on my phone) , can't wait to see what's in there. I was debating buying it myself because I have a nice scanner and 20$ to spare but this is better. Can't wait.

Yeah I don't think his brother is autistic either. Having a hobby you're obsessive over and being a bit awkward when you were growing up doesn't automatically mean autism.
